Well picked up the GFC last Friday, at the end of my Montana hunt. No cool mountain pics, the first night was Jamestown Walmart parking lot

@MNTX TRDPro Thank you for sharing your awesome build! I live in Montana and recognize some of the regional spots you've posted pics of, great places! Hey I am curious if you could give me a review of your wheelers superbump stops? I am putting on 6112 Billy's(top setting 2.5) and have been trying to decide on whether I need bumpstops or not...Thanks again.

@MNTX TRDPro Looks great! I never considered the orange but I think it looks good with the white and black.

Just passed 5 years of ownership on the truck so I figure that was a bronze-worthy anniversary. Swapped out the factory pro wheels for some Stealth Custom Series Ray10’s in dark bronze, +25 offset, and a good bit lighter than the stock wheels.

Also, I’ve been slowly working on a new “home” for my truck since it no longer fits in my garage after getting the GFC. COVID wasn’t the easiest time to do any sort of home renovation or building project but I eventually got it done. Just a simple lean-to style carport with a metal roof. May put sides and a garage door on down the road but this will work for now.

November update....I added the Dobinson Snorkel and a Sy-Klone pre-cleaner. I’ve been eyeing the Dobinson snorkels since they released and when I found them with a discount I couldn’t pass it up. I’m not personally a fan of the traditional snorkel head so I found a pre cleaner type at snorkelupgrade.com. I like the complete look and after taking the fender flares off to install the snorkel I kind of like the look better without them now.

Thanks! I think I’ll keep it this way for a while, or at least until I can’t stand how much mud or dirt gets thrown up the side of the truck now with the more offset wheels.

Could you have doctored the flares to work with the snorkel? How much was the overlap?

The overlap was maybe 1/4 - 1/2”. You could easily trim the top of the fender to match the line of the snorkel body. I just liked the look of it without flares after having them on for most of the owning the truck.

Storage needs have changed for future camping trips with our little one so decided to rebuild the drawers in the bed of the truck to better accommodate more gear. Mostly built out 1/2” plywood and some 2x10’s for the frame. I used some 40” heavy duty drawer slides to have drawers that are basically 3/4 of the length of the bed and the rest of the area is just one large storage compartment with access via a door. I also added a universal bedrug on top, cut to fit, and some tie down points in 4 corners to hold the bedrug down. I’ve also had a DFG Offroad fridge slide/tilt waiting for me to rebuild my drawers so it could be better mounted so I finally had a chance to mount it.

@COTundra23 Thanks! I think the build should be slowing down now (famous last words) and hopefully more adventure pics to come in 2021!

    Some updates to the build.

I wanted to switch up the look on the NFab MRDS bumper. I got the inspiration from Proyotatype on Instagram to add the filler piece in the middle and the push bar. I also added a couple tabs for some Baja Designs XL lights that I’ll add at some point.

I’ve also wanted to upgrade the water system in the camper. I got an Ironman4x4 10 gallon water tank. It fits nicely behind the Duluth seat back bunker and utilizes some unused space. I ran the plumbing to a 12V pump from Amazon and put some quick connects on the end so I could hook it up to a water heater down the road. It runs off my goal zero battery for power.

I’ve also bumped up my Icon RXT springs to option 3 and also threw on some CoachBuilder +1 shackles for a little more rigidity in the rear.

Installed the Expedition Essentials dash mount. It’s definitely super solid, and I only lost one tiny nut in the dash during the install which I think is pretty good considering how tight the space is.

Also some shots from yet another trip around the home state seeking out campsites
