Doing a timing belt job, there's tons of old grease/ dirt/ oil mixture on both sides of engine, starts under the cam pulleys and also has completely covered power steering pump . I'm thinking the cam seals have been leaking for quite some time, and have doubt that ATP 205 would solve this at this point...

If this was you, would you do the cam and valve cover seals job at this point?

    I would definitely degrease.

I know a lot of guys would say, "While you're in there" and I don't disagree, but I'm also not going to tell you that.

Do yourself a favor, grab a copy of the FSM and follow its instructions to the letter if you're gonna go there. There's a service bolt that's pretty critical in the process with our later-year VVTi 4.7L.

But I also had good luck with AT-205, so I also see that as a viable option.

polish or paint the VC's for added sense of accomplishment. Bonus points for painting it in a culturally relevant way. Who won your favorite sportsball?

Whatever you do, be sure to run them through the “heavy cycle / pots and pans” in the dishwasher prior to reinstall.

I would snag a dishwasher off marketplace or craigslist and then send that bad boy to the recycling center... I wouldn't do this unless I was getting rid of my dishwasher tomorrow.. LOL..

Not a ball, but a cock... Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping from China won gold at the 2020 Oylimic game in the badmintion mixed doubles. So i'm thinking red valve covers with five yellow stars.
