I pulled the zip code from that ad and put it into autotrader. There's a few others close to there, and this one https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for...1=TOYOTA&modelCode1=FJCRUIS&clickType=listing
is similarly priced, but looks like it's been used for fun. Might be more risk, but idk.

Being a 07 give this a thorough inspection on the rust. Specifically the frame, towards the rear end and in the engine bay(brackets and supports). It seems about half of the 07 suffer from being prone to extreme rust.

The 4.0L V6 is a good motor. It has a timing chain so you don't have to worry about changing the belt every 90k.

Look out for cracks on the inner fenders under the hood. It's common for those to bulge or crack, especially if it saw some hard off-road abuse.

The transmission can be hit or miss since most fail to change the fluid often enough. If you upgrade to larger tires, you're going to want to drive around in (4) instead of (D) when city driving.

Definitely get one with a rear locker and a-trac. They're fun and capable vehicles! I've owned two

I got 2 FJ’s. They are awesome. 4.0 is as solid as they come. There are quite a few over 300k and some over 500k miles. I have had no issues with either of mine. Not many in the jeep club can say the same.

I do. Duratracs 285/75/16 E rated are a pretty light tire and it does great. The TRD Intake and Exhaust allow it to breath better. It used to downshift at a certain spot on my way to work and after the TRD it does not.

OK.. I thought those pics were of your tire stats. Those were both C rated.

Yea I think 7 pounds will make a difference in acceleration and a bit on the MPG front as well. Lighter is always better for both.

My wife had a 2010 Toytec lift and a bunch of mods. Absolutely loved it for 4wheeling. We would still own it if some jackass would have ran a stoplight and totaled it. We looked for another one but ended up getting her a 4Runner. The FJ are great.
