Have an intermittent issue were wipers and accessories cut out when hitting bumps/pot holes. I found when I hit the underside of the column it all comes back on. Before I take it apart is there known wiring issues with column... thanks

Per our community information thread, I'll bold the issue I typically hone in on when people mention gremlins:
    • These trucks usually don't have a ton of other electrical issues. Hidden corrosion inside the battery/alt cables happens. Sometimes, a couple thousand miles after timing belt changes, people will have startup issues because the crank position sensor wasn't properly tucked away and gets rubbed by a belt (pic), correct routing info here. There's also a similar problem with camshaft position sensor under the cam cover, where the belt will rub through (pics). There's the rodent issues mentioned earlier. Occasionally, water trails down harnesses into the ECM behind the glovebox (pics, pics), or the in-dash fusebox (pics & pics & pics) it happens a LOT. Many drain/vampire issues trace back to aftermarket add-ons whether the owner knows they exist or not - alarms as mentioned earlier, brake controllers, poorly installed trailer receptacles, those are some big ones.
I'd be focusing on checking for signs of water entry. Especially if you're the kind of person who ignores why cracks in windshields are bad, or have underlying rust, missing windshield trim, torn door seals, or undiagnosed A-pillar leaks.

This could be in the column and its wiring for sure. But if you're saying it's wipers and accessories which aren't wired to or linked to the steering wheel wiring, butn those last three bolded "pics" links very well may be your problem.

Thanks for the replies, I will check all those out to see if they might apply.

Truck is 2000 base, regular cab, 8 foot bed, 2wd, v6 w/fog lights. (I added them using factory relay & switch in dash OEM location, aftermarket OEM style lights in bumper)

I'd also say, it could very well be a loose ground.

I dunno why that didn't come to mind earlier. We have so many cases of water getting into the driver's side wiring and fusebox on here that it's the first place I go to these days
