I just bought a 2016 Tundra Limited. I'm attempting to put new wipers on. I'm using the same Michelin wipers I've used forever that normally pop right on. However, my Tundra wipers have plastic protective pieces that snap over the wiper arm. The new wipers are to narrow to snap the pieces on. I really don't want to spend 40 or 50 bucks on factory wipers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regular after market wipers such as the Michelins will work. I remember I had to spend a few moments with it to figure it out; it is different than the typical J-hooks, but it will work.

Here's pics. Not sure if you can tell. There's like a plastic casing around the wiper.

Picture of the wiper is for J hook arms... you need to swap out the connectors for the U hook that would have come with your blades for it to fit 2007+ Tundra

The new wipers go on my truck. That's not the issue. The plastic cover won't fit on the new wiper. I've never even seen anything like this before.

    The plastic covers ( 2nd picture? )
I have never seen wipers that reuse a factory plastic cover.
They either come frameless, with frames that are covered with plastic, or with just the frame. (As a complete replacement)
The oem framed or framed with covers can use the OEM rubber inserts. These days Toyota is pushing the sightlines instead of the inserts, are you sure your Michelin replacements are designed to reuse the plastic covers?

Thanks for the help on this issue. I bought the high end RainX blades and they were terrible and the headpiece doesnt snap in all of the way even with the attachments. On the way home this morning the driver's side finally popped out and was bent up. It never wiped correctly from the get go. The regular Rain X Beam $10 set snapped in and worked like a champ!
