Although i may not have the worst winter conditions, WNY has some pretty rough days. For the last 2 weeks i have encountered snow, ice, and rain.
Without a doubt the Tundra has the best manners and abilities I have owned in a truck. I am amazed with the auto LSD, coupled with the Michelin tires the truck really is a joy to drive.

Good to hear. Please stay safe on those roads, there’s gonna be drunks out there this weekend too!

The roads and highways are as slippery as a “used car salesman turned politician” around here right now, and I have zero concerns about my tundra’s capability, and almost as much confidence in my own ability to guide it around. It’s the ID10Ts out there that scare me, driving like it’s summer, following too close... :annoyed:

I just start driving REALLY SLOW when being tailgated by an idiot in poor driving conditions...let them pass me like a bat out of hell and then try to see if I can find them in a ditch on the side of the road as I continue on my way. ;)

I use Cooper Mud and Snow on my 2002 and they are spectacular in the snow.
I ran the 2016 Pro this week in our blizzard this week with the OEM tires and had no issues.

We have had snow in all manners over the past two weeks and my truck has been awesome. Much better than any other truck I have driven. My old diesel was awuful in the snow, even with sandbags in the bed. The Tundra still has the stock Michelins and I have had zero issues.

If my workload allows (seldom), I skip driving to my shop when we have bad snow. I really don't want to have to beat the S%#T out of someone for driving like a moron and sliding into my truck!

I must say it's the other drivers are the hardest part of winter driving. What i don't understand is that we see looong winters every winter !! what is it that they didnt learn from the one prior ? I witness some of the most insane actions, and think "what are they doing !!" The DPW around here is really good, they are on it, pro-active to the snow and ice, and always you here of a plow operator helping stranded drivers.DFX_6277.jpg

My wife and I had to do a 5 hr drive in blizzard conditions a few years ago. We made it with no issues. The vast majority of vehicles that were stuck and abandoned in the median were fairly new 4WD vehicles. Even with 4WD, I take my time and let the idiots fly by.

Here is my new (September '17) Tundra in a recent N Alabama blizzard. No way I'm getting it out on the road in such hostile conditions! I did use the 4WD once. Our maple trees dumped leaves on the driveway during a rain and the ABS kicked in on the slick surface. Worked like a champ.

Wish I had snow here. Just sub-freezing temps and no precipitation in the forecast for the next two weeks. :(
