I throw a moving blanket on my windshield when I change wipers. If the arm slips out of your hand it will crack the windshield without protection.

My 2021 has done this from day one when I bought her in November. The dealership is replacing them next oil change.

A couple of you guys mentioned using rain x for windshield cleaner. Just beware of the orange rain x. I believe its for ice. I read about this and one of my friends experienced it on his Challenger SRT. Apparently whatever chemical is in it to de ice your windshield over time leaves a coating on the sensor in your resorvoir causing it to throw a low washer level light. My buddy brought his Chalenger into the dealer with 5500 k on it for this. The told him as per Dodge the only fluids you are suposed to use are MOPAR so suck it easy. So it wasnt a warranty fix. Cost him almost $300 to fix.

I gotta throw the BS flag....ain't no way a rolling electrical problem is gonna last 5,500,000.

BTW...OP, my 21's wipers are fine, even after being frozen down and broke loose after an ice storm. No chatter at all.

Has anyone downsized the drivers side blade to a 24" from the 26? Shorter blade may not have as much flex at the ends being slightly shorter. Its only 1 in off each end so it shouldnt mess up the visibility at all.

The OEM's on my 2017 lasted 4 1/2 years. I only replaced them because the passenger side got a small fold that created a 3/4" streak that Mrs. McGov didn't like. I do practice good wipers management.

Dealer that I got my truck from in December replaced them before I got it and they are perfect. I will get OEM again when they shit the bed. I'm super impressed with how well they work

First thing I would do is scrub the windshield down with an SOS pad. Rinse well and use Rainx or equivalent. 90% of the time, I don’t even need wipers at highway speed.

Yeah, I like the SOS pad better as the soap cuts any oils and that seems to help the Rainx.
