Oh damn need to find a new shop. My XR+ was $849 for front windshield ($125), all windows ($599), and pano ($125) on my 21 f150.

Yes. 3M makes a 90% VLT that is basically clear and has some serious TSER ratings. It rejects a high % of the solar energy, infrared, and UV coming into the cab. It's hard to find a good installer for it, since I have been told that it is very difficult to apply. I put XPEL 70% on my tundra because that is what the best tint guy in Charlotte uses. The 3m Crystaline is better, but the top of the line Xpel is still really really good.

I can tell that I have 70% on the windshield, but not sure the cops can. It looks pretty light. Oh yeah, I also put it on my sunroof because I could feel a tremendous amount of heat coming in through that pano-roof. Much much better with that film on the sunroof. The A/C does not have to run as hard to keep the truck cool.

XR+ for windshield, both front windows, and both sunroof panels = $450 at Sunstoppers in Charlotte, NC.

Yea I know, I used Executive Tint for all my past cars and they worked well, no bubbles and would re-work if not satisfied. But, yea, price is up there when you wanna go all-out and once and done.
    Can you recommend your shop?

I feel like this is calling for a road trip just to get it done at your location. That price is a steal and half of what they want in Houston.....

I've only used them once but it was Ish window tinting in SATX. I had zero issues but I also only owned the f150 for like 6 months.

XPEL- the company, did my 21 TRD pro. High price, and scratched my car and did a dry wipe with a towel on the exterior afterwords and swirled the shit out of it.

XPEL, the one on Barren Spring next to 45?
Yea, reason I trusted Executive Tint was the product and also they treated the car very carefully, and final result was more than happy, other than the price....

No the one here in SATX.

you would think driving in and seeing Ferraris and mclarens getting PPF you’d be good.

C'mon over! Plus... The owner and his #01 guy who runs the shop are really really good. I can be a little bit OCD at times, and the last vehicle they did for me had some blemishes and they removed the film and replaced for free. I didn't really have to ask, they sort of insisted that they wanted to get it right. That was only problem in 5 vehicles I've had them do.

As I mentioned, I like the 3m Crystaline product a little bit better, but the local installer of that is not a good guy. XP+ is great stuff.

I am sorry, that does suck. The store I went to (they have 3 in Houston, all independent I think) has all the Ferraris and Mclarens and Tesla and goodness knows what else...

50% front, splurge for the quality ceramic, you’ll never go back. Inside heat levels are insane when you go ceramic, totally worth it. I didn’t notice a difference night driving with 50%

I think I got a somewhat of a deal last year. I was going in thinking I was going to spend $585 for Xpel XR+ all around - $360 for sides and rear, no charge on removal on the 2 fronts; $225 for the windshield, front visor, and sunroof. Come to find out my front windshield was already had tint from the previous owner (bought my truck used). So, all they charged me was $360 for everything (sides, rear, removal on the 2 fronts, front visor, sunroof). They were even going to give me even more of a discount if I were to pay in cash. Anyways, it seems like their prices have gone up since they now have an automated system quoting out their jobs.

This Texas heat is brutal! I have 70% ceramic on my Tundra windshield and 55% ceramic on my Sequoia windshield. They both are great and make a difference. You can't really tell the 70% is there unless you really look for it. At first I was worried about the 55% being too dark at night. You can tell it's there but it doesn't hinder my night vision much. We just got back from a road trip to Colorado and it didn't bother me.

LLumar Air 80 is great on the windshield. Legal and still blocks a ton of UV. Very sharp clarity at night too.

Got 70% because I was told it the legal max in Texas. Maybe he was wrong but I have had zero issues and it makes a huge diff in the felt heat and it’s a non issue at night.
I mounted my registration sticker to a piece of cardboard and stuck it between the dash and windshield no problem plus it makes it super easy to change stickers.

Sorry brother I’m in McKinney just outside Dallas so prob to far for you but any tint shop will be good. You will wait for it or pick it up so just look at it before paying. I’ve never had a problem and have cars tinted in Illinois and Now Texas zero issues good luck
You will love it!!!! Go 50 %
    Yes that’s my pic above. I messed up I’m 50 % not 70%
I was just letting u know that 70% is legal but 50 is so much better when it’s so flipping hot lol

Tints all around is a must for me for all my vehicles. I did 5% on the rear and back windows over the factory tint, then 20% up front with 50% on the windshield. To say you can't see with windshield tint is a bit absurd, considering LEDs and HIDs are pretty much a standard on most vehicles. My two year old absolutely hates the sun when sitting in any vehicle and she has no problem snoozing in the truck now with how its set up.

me too I did add on to the factory tint. I’m like 10% on the sides and rear. The windshield is 50 % major diff. I can get in my truck now and it’s always cooler inside than outside. I’m in Texas it’s been 110 here!

Llumar Air 80 is great for the front windshield and gives you heat rejection if that is what you are looking for. As an added bonus, you won't have to worry about getting a tinted window ticket as it is essentially clear with a slight blueish to it.

This is what I have on my Tundra's Front windshield, Front drivers door, and Front passenger door. If you saw the truck you wouldn't event notice it.

So for Texas Houston heat 110 and all that, what do you recommend for the other glass (sides & back) besides the windshield? On mine I have the factory tint now but I would love to go darker and break the law need be :) That's on me

Go to a higher class tint shop than the run-the-mill $200 whole car tint, and see what they offer.
If money is not an issue, ceramic all the way, 5% in the back and side, front row 35% and at least 50% windshield.
However, know that shops may require you to sign a waiver knowing that some of that is illegal and they are not liable if you get pulled over and ticketed for it.
The whole thing might run you, ~$1200 +-$150.... at least that's what I am quoted for two years ago.

Thanks partner. Any shops in Houston you can recommend? Money is not an issue. I want quality and best product.
I also have a BMW to redo and quality is important again.

I use this Executive Tint, just this location (there are 3 in Houston), and I am happy with the work provided.

Half of the time I am there, there is always some race car there getting tinted as dark as hell's nightmare and the result looks and feels awesome.

Thanks much. yeah I heard of the Executive Tint guys and I think I done one my Volvos there like 10-15 years back, on Hillcroft I believe. Work was good but the shop was a bit beat down if I remember, didn't seem for the high end.
