I have an oily smudge on my windshield that is super stubborn and won’t go away. It’s definitely from my arm or something from when I was ironically cleaning the top part of the cab above the windshield.

    I’ve tried everything from:

    Glass cleaner
    Alcohol
    Wax
    Nu-Finish
    Bar Keepers Friend

All with a microfiber towel and plenty of elbow grease.

I even tried all the following on the inside thinking maybe it was an interior smudge.

This smudge is driving me batshit crazy. Please help.

Newspaper and a mixture of 60/40 water vinegar mixture. Works great and way cheaper than store bought concoctions

Acetone works great but can leave a film, but it is no problem to clean off with WD40. I have white pines that love dropping sap. During the summer the Tundra lives in the garage.

    :boom:Um...

Are we really talking about how the local editorial section is the best thing known to man to clean windows? I knew that @Black Wolf was losing it, but maybe it was me all along!

Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I first use the aerosol version of window cleaner (for some reason it feels like it works better than typical squirt bottle type), then the eraser, then follow with glass cleaner again. The pre and post use of glass cleaner is really b/c I smoke the goodies and it adds a bit more film on glass than most are used to. Can get away with just Magic Eraser tho and I’ve never seen anything work better.

Actually I appreciate it as a reminder. All other windows I have are tinted, and I’d be that guy to not pay attention and start cleaning them as well.
