1.5” is pushing it out there pretty good. I think most go 1.25” with minimal rubbing. The further out you go the more issues/rubbing your gonna have. There are several options for the fender liner behind the bumper. You can try heating it up and “molding” it a little concave. You could buy bumper shims to move the whole bumper out an inch or so. Or some have simply unscrewed where it attaches on the bottom of the bumper end cap and pushed it forward then re-secured it.

Few options for rubbing behind the tire: Removing and “heat molding” the mudflap and reinstalling it. Remove the mudflap and leave it off. If still rubbing after removal of the mudflap you could try to have the caster the adjusted to clear the body mount or do a BMC.

search threads about pushing the liners forward. with a socket set and a drill you can move the plastics in front of the wheel forward about an inch which would be enough for the added offset. you can also either cut/alter or remove your flaps if you're also scrubbing in reverse.

After studying it as my wife was in the truck going forward and reverse at full lock, my plan is to drill new holes in fender liner, pushing it forward as much as possible. It is only rubbing at the bottom and I’m hoping that will do the trick. If not, I may try a viper cut, similar to what Taco owners are doing with their front bumpers.

If you get wheel spacers, you should move your liners forward (and or coachbuilder shim kit, and BMC. Can you do without the bmc, sure, but anything bigger than 275/70 has a chance of rubbing and in the long run of your truck a 2-300 dollar bmc to protect your tires and do it the right way is a no brainer.
