Watched this a bunch of times.
@ColoradoTJ hit the nail on the head on all counts. These days I would only wheel with him is as a passenger. My hard core wheeling days are behind me and I want this sweet 1/2 ton to last for the rest of my life.
I remember when the only rigs off road were 3/4t ranch trucks, power line utility trucks or old jeeps. In the ‘60s & ‘70s this began to change, but skill and knowledge overwhelmingly topped power for a while.
I have hated the reality that people could go buy a vehicle that would actually be “point and drive” allowing people with no skill, knowledge, or sense to be out there.
These kids deserve what they got.
The winch set up plays no part in this epic fail except as a clear indicator of ignorance.
When in doubt, go slow, take a break, and like the doctor credo says “do no harm” (additionall damage, in this case).
Taking a day (or longer) to control the retreat down the hill would have done more than save money, it would have been a valuable lesson in their lives.
Instead, they think the solution is to spend more money.
    Smart? Not really...

I think this is what Chris was talking about wheeling with people who you trust.

Since I am a long time boater and really enjoy going fast on the water I feel the same way about boats. I have talked to people that were in their first boat and the boat would do 70+ mph. To me someone driving a boat with little to boating experience has no business in a boat that will do 70+. Anyone that has driven a boat capable of those kind of speeds will tell you that it takes a certain amount of skill. In the boating world we call it seat time.

Oh, so you’ve been to Moab have ya? Lol. That place is usually a total shit show. I have never been out there and not assisted someone with water, repair, or injury.

The Clowns Inc crew are going out to Moab next month. Kinda dreading it. I can’t always go where I want to.:D I did talk the fellas into renting some RZRs for a day.

The stealership doesn’t give, or require, an IQ test when purchasing. New mandatory option: remove 4WD controls if new owner trades in a Prius.

I've thought this over. Maybe someone else's bad day wheeling is better than a good day at work. But, I can't even pretend; I'd be crying.... :(

Those are the NEW and IMPROVED revolver shackles. The vehicle is fine. LOL If that were my truck I’d be pretty ticked.

There was a whole lot of incompetence going on there. I’m sure that had to be a costly mistake. It seemed like the driver only took his foot off the brake at certain times. Also, one can always use the trailer hitch as a tow point if there isn’t a better place to connect to. Oh well. I’m glad it wasn’t my truck and I’m glad that I don’t wheel with these guys.

this is what happens everytime some loyal toyota fan says "its a yota, it wont break", I cringe everytime I hear it, STOP SAYING THAT!. Yes I get it, driver error and buddy fuckers all around, that truck is plenty capable it couldve gotten outta there, either shitty install on the lift or a shit lift with an inexperienced driver and rookies recording.

    SO funny!

Unfortunately, my kid got drawn in by my laughing, ran too quickly and slid into a wipeout on our wood flooring. And, since I was already laughing....
