That was one of my first thoughts, all those guys standing around and no one noticed? You can see the wheel is already under the bed long before the last tug. What are you doing off road w/o proper recovery points and gear? Well, that was an expensive lesson. But on the bright side :itllbuffout:

x2, I just showed the wife the video and she noticed the wheels were rubbing the front of the fender flares early on and then that they were headed under the cab before it happened. Bunch of idiots to just let that guy keep pulling that truck out like that.

Now it’s officially the first Tacoma Pro that’s been converted into a 2x2. I feel bad for the owner.

I guess I don’t off-road enough so I may be slow here. What did they hook the the winch to?
Couldn’t they hook up to the frame some where? What the hell would cause the axle to roll under the truck while rolling back? Yea, agreed. A bunch of stoner idiots but someone enlighten me please.

I spent an afternoon pulling idiots out of mud and sand on a beach created when a lake receded. It was a fun and interesting day. It got to the point where they were walking up the beach asking for the dude with the blue Ford. I think I was the only one running a true off road tire. A Jimmy, C1500, Tacoma and a few others. I always let the owner of the stuck vehicle hook up the strap. The guy in the Jimmy wrapped it around his bumper. I said that I would not do that. He said it will be fine. Damn near pulled his whole bumper off. After I pulled out each one I had to show how it was done. That was probably the reason they were asking for the blue Ford. I wonder if that dude in Illinois ever got his new Chevy out of the frozen pond?

Ok so here are my thoughts on it,
1 in the comments on that post he says that they were the biggest dumbasses he had ever encountered, which leads me to believe that he had never met them prior.
2 anyone ever been wheeling and had to wait on people? I’d be willing to bet this is that happened and all the people standing around were waiting on this guy and offering ways to get him out and finally they were like fuck it when the taco and fj were being ignorant and ignored what they were saying. And this is the result

Yeah, when I watch it I don't understand what they're doing. Makes me really appreciate wheeling with @joonbug , @GodlessPro , @dcsleeper408 , one of those guys would automatically jump in and oversee operations outside of the vehicle.

I wonder the same but suspect it was around the axle on the driver side. When pulling back on that side the driveline acted like a fulcrum and the passenger side went forward. That's my best guess.
Often you can't hook to the frame w/o causing a lot of damage to the bumper. Might've been a lot cheaper in this case though.
