    Ignore button is your friend.

I’ve posted this before, but this website is the single long term reliability study in existence. The guys who run it are Volvo fanboys. It is continually updated with data from mechanics, dealerships, and vehicle auction houses. Their data is confined solely to drivetrain issues. Guess who’s on top? Toyota/Lexus in every category. This is the reason most of us are here; the reason we drive Toyotas. My experience with all of my Toyotas matches the massive data set at this website:

    IMG_4961.jpg

It will be interesting in a few years to see if the 3rd gen’s recall issues eat into the Tundra’s currently perfect rating for long term reliability.

I don’t thinks anyone claims a that the domestics are terrible for every truck; at least that isn’t what I am saying. BUT, I am saying that Toyota has treated me and my family every well over three decades and I have friends and others who have had horror stories relating to domestics. That is enough for me to steer clear now and stick with Toyota

The only problem with ignoring people is that you still see their replies when other people quote them

Silly statistics. We used data to purchase our last two cars. A Honda CRV and now a RAV4. Zero issues or maintenance costs with either of them. This was after buying a Jeep Rubicon despite less than glowing data. Guess which one had higher maintenance costs?

The initial question was rhetorical. Look it up, it’s a useful tool when trying to point out idiocy.

While I appreciate the suggestion, you are just wrong…..tens of thousand a with zero issues…..wrong wrong and wrong. Get on the Chevy, ford and gmc forums and see what their traffic is like. You are nuts inciting people with innuendo and ridiculous statements. It has run its course. Bow out, or contribute.

if we are being honest among friends , starting an argument you cannot win is an exercise I futility and fodder for nuts being a difficult person to deal with. Use FACTS to support your argument and maybe you won’t seem like such a (fill in the blank)

It because you need not but because you can’t. At least not with unbiased “research”. I deal with the argumentative types like you on the daily and choose to ignore it because typically they realize what an ass they’re being. Seems like you want to double down and prove it…..your single experience with a 2013 Chevy Silverado also doesn’t suggest that EVERY 2013 Silverado is trouble free, if in fact yours has been trouble free. Share your service records….

Yeah I can…..I deal in an industry where everyone is an expert because of media reporting and exposure. But I don’t need to justify that. YOU are the one trying to convince people so please convince me.

Yeah ok bud - www.iseecars.com is a peer reviewed, double blind, unbiased website providing factual information. give me a break man. Move on rookie

I never said I work in the auto industry…..but I just can’t stand idly by when a know it all with verbal diarrhea comes on a forum to spew misinformation and get their rocks off on inciting the masses. I usually ignore it but I chose to call you out and all you do is continue to double down with absolutely no substantive information, proof or research……you quote BS websites. Show me real data and we can talk. Until then, bu-bye

Ok, now I’m just confused. Are you agreeing with us now?!! Or did you not read this before you posted either? It literally sings Toyota’s praises with 10 out of the top 20!!

    1. Show me ANNYWHERE I have ever posted CR to be a legit website. In fact, I KNOW they are not unbiased and paid for advertising for the appliances, cars and trucks that they “review”. BUT unlike you, I understand that EVERY manufacturer does that, including the ones you hold in such a high regard. So your double standard is glaring and exposed.

    2. Show me literally ANYWHERE that I have claimed the domestic trucks are trash. I will wait……for eternity because it has NEVER happened.

you are a peach - I love this back and forth. You got caught and continue to double down on every point you hold “true” yet have literally not one substantive fact to support your claims.

Except trucks are used for truck things and driven harder than SUV’s. There isn’t another full size truck on there till you hit 18. Noticed that it wasn’t a Chevy?

This this and this…..for the win. And the ironic thing it isn’t even a rebuttal - it is using the website you used as supportive to your own argument of inferiority to support the other side. Do you see the level of ignorance there?

So you cite a website a s source that directly contradicts your claims, says “yeah but they were abused using them for construction purposes” and implies that the information from the website you used to support your argument is invalid. I know what you mean now - you’re wrong and can’t be man enough to admit you don’t know what the F you’re talking about.

Guys, if you don't feed the Qatar troll, he'll probably go away. He's a college kid, with an 11 year old Silverado, who has come here for attention and to stir the pot. Just look at his post history. Ignore him, please.
