The only misguidance going on in this thread is from the non white tundra owners that came here drawn in by the thread title after they were let down by the performance of their truck.

Its a misconception. White ones seem to have great traction, but the truth is they lack the power to spin a tire.

Any ground clearance you claim comes from tires... black tires. :burp:

    • It s all so simple
    • Overall, blue is heavier than red, red is heavier than green, and green is heavier than yellow.
    • Brighter colors weigh less than darker ones.
    • Increasing saturation makes colors appear to weigh less.
    • Brighter backgrounds make dark colors look lighter (less heavy) and bright colors look heavier.

Has toyota figured out how to do clearcoat or does it still start peeling at the 15 year mark? That peeling clearcoat will obviously add wind resistance. Single coat work van white clearly wins here. How has no one pointed out how weak all the other colors are? They all have to be clearcoated or they fall apart. Since white does not require clearcoat it weighs half what the other paint jobs do. I'm not even sure why this required a thread. White wins on all fronts.

But once you add in the weight of the massive amount of bird poop, it all evens out.

I specifically bought the white to blend in. Throw a few traffic cones in the back and your good to park just about anywhere lol

I think there s plenty of blame to go around concerning pealing/flaking clear coat. Manufactures for sure. Some need more R/D. But the detergents, and the aggressive nature of the spinning scrubbers of automated car washers deserve some of the blame too, which brings me to the owner who has to have a shiny vehicle 24/7.
