I love the Chrome accents. They highlight the black on the truck.

I find it funny that chrome is so divisive.

I don't think it's decisive. It's a preference. Look around at the vehicles on the road today. no chrome just accents. The 60's was the end of chrome. The 70's on had plastic bumpers and such. My daily driver is a 66 F250 and its chrome blends in well.

I would prefer that my truck all be colour matched but I definitely don't hate chrome the way a lot of other people do. The only chrome I don't like is on door handles. I actually wish my bumpers were entirely chrome (or entirely colour matched) rather than chrome end caps with a black middle but I don't care enough to spend money to change them. Ditto for the chrome inside. If I'm going to spend money on my truck, it's not going to be on anything that's purely aesthetic.

The exterior chrome is akin to popcorn ceilings. The interior chrome I don’t mind. Only if it’s minimal.

    Tundra interior chrome is needless.
I got tired of the sun's reflection off the vent rings and cup holder/console.

Now that ive gotten a bit older.. i dont mind some chrome. When i was in my late teens and early 20s is was all about chrome delete and black everything out. With my current tundra, ill keep the chrome front & rear bumpers, get chrome/machined 315 methods, and probably keep the chrome emblems on too. Im in the processes rid of the chrome grille and door handles though. I did the side mirror caps last month.

I like that "chrome" fire extinguisher!

I just did the vents to reduce sun glare. Once I get enough bug and rock damage to justify replacement, I'll replace my 1794 grille with the Platinum grille strictly due to personal preference. I'll likely get color matched front bumper ends as well, but that is all a few years into the future.

I was at the dealer that I’ve been doing business with for almost 15 years and was picking up some windshield wiper blades for another Toyota I have. I was talking to the salesman that I’ve known for close to 10 of those years and though they had nothing on the lot they had an army green 21 Limited double cab off-road coming in within a couple weeks. With my ‘19 Pro I missed having the extra bed length of my previous Tundra DC. I also regretted the black color. On top of that I was ran off the road and side swiped a telephone pole and had close to 10k of repaired damage a few months after buying it. For giggles I asked what they would give me on trade? I paid 51250 for the PRO in sept’18, it had 36k miles on it when I traded it in. The ‘21 Limited MSRP was 48300. They gave 50k trade in and sold me the Limited for MSRP. I said I am all in. Just transferred my equity from the existing loan into the new one and increased my payment 18.45 a month for an additional 6 months. It’s a better fit for an old fart like myself lol.

Chrome hurt me as a child. You see, my bmx bike was chrome and my parents were too cheap to buy me the cool "Flite" pads for the frame, neck, and handle bars. I sacked many times on that chrome bike. Might even be why I don't have kids.
    :notsure:

    So I am chromophobic.

Redone!.jpg I love the Magnetic Grey with the Chrome. I think there are many colors that the Black is a better fit for. Silver, Black, White, Red and the Green. I really wished that they had come out with a Silver Pro.

I think it's just personal opinion, but chrome delete is definitely trendy right now. My truck came with the "blackout package" because I liked it... so once my front and back bumpers come in, the grill will be the only thing left on my truck that is "chrome." Not sure changing out the grill is worth the price for me right now, even though it's pretty minimal...just dropped a lot of $$,$$$ on the bumpers, sliders, suspension, tires, etc. They all served a purpose outside of aesthetics so it was worth it in those cases.

Chrome to me is the same as holy water to a vampire. I even had my wife make a coverup on her cricut vinyl maker for the glove box key hole. 5D1274E2-7609-4611-93D8-833CB5DABEDA.jpg

The interior is insanely cheap to do with Plasti dip. Probably 30$ to do all of it. Bumpers and whatnot may be a different story, glad mine came without any outside chrome

I've always had chrome on my full size trucks, so when I had the opportunity to get one without I jumped on it.. Nothing against chrome, but I think it looks so much better without.

I am one of the few that actually added some additional chrome, added chrome handles and mirror caps to get ride of the black textured ones that always looked old and dirty.

Chrome is good for easy cleaning and removal of dead insects. In the cab it will reflect a little bit of light to allow you to locate the cup holders, air vents, shifter, etc. in the dark. It was engineered into the design for a purpose folks. Same on the front of the truck, it actually contributes to your safety while driving at night. But hey, go ahead and personalize if you want, just beware there are reasons for it.
