At 13% one of my favorites. Not like you sit down and knock out a sixer tho.

Both of those are good breakfast beers. Any of Great Notions stack series and blueberry beers are good breakfast beers. Most of their fruited sours are easy to drink in the morning. If anyone doesn’t have their app downloaded and is in a state they deliver to Id recommend downloading the app and trying them.

    https://greatnotion.page.link/dWaNngrcrArGW3qr7 .

Use code new2crew to get 20% off your first order.

Love me some Founders All Day... Lagunitas All Day is another go-to.

My current selection is def in need of more of those options, actually.

Anyone have recommendations for central OH? I'll be heading out there for a few weeks for work and I'll be looking to stock my mobile beer fridge with good local options.

Just got back from the grocery store with 2 more $16 (4th sale) 30 packs of Miller Lite for day drinking. Now I need to make a run to Total Wine for stouts, porter, and black lager.

I had heady topper last time I was out in Boston. I was bummed that no where we went was carrying Downeast cider, but this is a beer thread

We're in apple orchard country. Too many local cider offerings. Carlson's is probably 3x better than Down East, is within 20 miles of Boston, and a pour costs about the same. Heck, even our little Xmas tree farm/orchard sells their own hard cider at a cozy 8% for $15/growler. Then we have easy access to VT and all the the bigger names (Citizen, Stow, etc).

Not that it's bad, but Down East is like a Sam Adams around here. It's okay, it's consistent, but there are much better options.

    Interesting.
I was out there a few years ago and what we liked was that it was unfiltered and seemed to be a good balance of sweet and dry. I’m really fond of good ciders, and especially if I can find ones that are sulfite free and unique. We’ve got a few really good makers around here (none are sulfite-free unfortunately), but too many just seem to be overprocessed sugar water with apple flavor or are making them taste more like fruit seltzers.

I’ll have to do more research before I head back out that way again.

I'm more of an "electricity" style drinker. I'm either all the way on like a light switch, or off. For that, I prefer a good whiskey accompanied by some sort of off-road recreational vehicle and a good field to just send it. If I'm drinking, I've got a destination in mind and that's blacked out being reckless getting back to my WV roots. Probably why I don't drink anymore...

Depends on the hops. I love a good IPA, but too hoppy and I’m out. Sours- meh. Some I loved, some I hated. Haven’t had a sour in over a year, but I also don’t miss it.

    Yes. This.
    Except they’re called “healers”.

Also gonna let you fellas in on a little secret when a simple beer wont *heal*. It’s called a “lunchbox”

In a 16-20 oz glass, 12oz of your favorite cheap macro (PBR round here), a couple glugs of amaretto, and top her off with some fresh OJ.
