I'm with you on that...Frankly, all of the TSS I've seen had black wheels and badging with light colors. They looked good and complimented the other chrome models on the lot! My Platinum has only the Platinum badge on each front door and chrome door handles and mirror covers. My wheels are not really chrome, more of a gray with brushed aluminum. I was going to color match, but as I see it, the chrome is not really predominant like it was on my last burgundy colored truck - had to color match that one. I kinda like the balance on what I have now. I'm not one who likes lifts unless going off road which most don't do, but that's me. I don't criticize them...

Bought my white TSS in Houston. And when it's cleaned up I think it looks pretty sharp. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!"

I did not want graphics but it was the only one available without steps and the $400 bottle of wax. I could have gone to KC to get one without but none had tow package which was a must have. I was going to have dealer remove them but thought resale would be better with them on. Some like chrome and some don't. I am in the don't camp.

The TSS to me is overpriced at around $4500, all it is is a SR5 with black 20" wheels and BFG All Terrains. The handles and mirrors on a SR5 are already black to begin with. I've heard you can get some good deals on them but they sticker for what you can buy a Limited for. The Toyota dealers here in Arkansas stock 90% TSS it seems like. The dealer here in town has one that he added a spacer lift, removed the TSS wheels & tires for what looks like 22's and 35's. They want $6,500 for the lift and tires on top of the TSS package for a grand total of right at $52,000 for a truck with cloth seats. But somebody will buy it because you can't finance lift and tires if they're not already on the truck.

I know when I was working at a dealership, I personally loved seeing the TSS package because of the wheels and the logo in the center and the throwback they have to the old hilux logos. 418b80226f778b23b3c4ef65f71c1576_3298b48dbdc5a0450116d697af04899b404cca29.jpg I love that shuttle touch

yep, around DFW they seem to think that everyone wants steps. I am afraid that when I get ready to buy all the trucks will be loaded up with steps and other dealer add ons. When I bought my Tacomas I had the dealer search for the ones with the lowest amount of dealer crap.

My dealer in Round Rock, TX is also part of GST and all of their trucks have steps on them. I told the dealer I didn't want them, so they took them off the price, but left them on the truck and told me to keep them anyway. Sold them later on Craigslist after I got my AMP PowerSteps installed.

I'm like you, I hate the steps that came on my TSS. I was looking online today with something to replace them with.

Yeah, except I don't like them period. They just get in my way getting in and especially out of the truck. I had to put them on a F150 Screw because the ex was 4'11" and the I had young kids. Only truck I ever had step rails on.

I have an XP package. And I have not really ever seen another with just the XP badging. It has leather and came with the bed liner and 20's. I dig it.

Not really sure but I was glad to find one with leather. Toyota rarely puts leather in anything other than limited or platinums.
