Why do people think 0% interest is “free money”

    Right. I guess it is also about don't buy something you don't have the cash for. I for one have used 0% interest to buy some cool stuff I couldn't afford to buy out right and glad I did.

    The answer to this question depends on the sales price. If the sales price for both are the same obviously buy at 0% but that is not normally the case. So you have to look at the end price that would have been financed. Also factor in gas mileage and road taxes, as those can change the answer as well.
    Unfortunately most car sales are not business decisions but rather emotional decisions.

    They don't care but you should as this is will affect the interest rate you get. There is no way you got a loan and didn't at the very least get a soft check.
