Same packages/equipment? Maybe they do it differently up there. The HD trucks were all significantly more expensive, and less well equipped on the lot.

Ok, now look at it objectively. Are most people doing that, or are most people running on emotion in these decisions? If it's not emotion driven then why does it so commonly devolve into unrelated personal attacks or people rage quitting?

300 hectares on single tank of kerosene
The diesel guys are 10x worse. It's outright heated on their forums. American made diesels, of course.

Had I known how douchy 1st and 2nd Gen Tundra owners are....I would have never bought a 3rd gen. I mean grown ass men spending 50K plus on a truck acting like they're 10 in a forum?

    Heated personal attacks?
    Rage quitting?

Where have you seen these things? This forum is highly rational and completely calm. @hagrid will vouch for me saying that the only time I’ve seen an issue here was when Chick-Fil-A stopped selling the honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich.

So you having the mods delete everything wasn't rage quitting? :boink:

If you want examples of the things I'm talking about you would have to go to the mods in the chat with staff section, because they delete all of it.

They all have problems, Ford has the most . Apparently Rams have the best reliability up until the 2025 model year . I listen to that Tim puck up truck plus and he is very informative on a lot of things .

Well which is it? Do we listen to Tim or does ford have the most problems? The video that he shows ram have the reliability Ford tops Toyota and GM trucks for half ton reliability. o_O

Serious question, how long have you been on the internet?
The ability to spend money has very little if anything to do with one's maturity level.

I knew full well how douchey "they" could be, but I bought one anyway.
What other people think of my purchase decisions have absolutely zero bearing on those decisions.

Personally, I enjoy most of the banter here, including most of the 3rd gen "hate" which really isn't for the most part. Yes, there are exceptions. The hard-core true douchebags will usually get themselves banned pretty quickly.

It's by no means a perfect truck. Far from it. There are issues. Do some guys go too far in their life's work of beating the dead horse into the ground? Absolutely, and some of it does get old and repetitive.

Unsolicited advice to anyone that gets offended on an internet forum:
Grow a thicker skin and develop your sense of humor.

If that doesn't work, there's always the "ignore" button, or browsing elsewhere.

This is the most recent one on it. Ford has had electrical recalls, IIRC, and the Lightning has been problematic along with their hybrid.

With Toyota's newest struggles I'd say that the half ton market boils down to what one has a power train you like and the looks you prefer. They are all susceptible to recalls/issues. Nature of the modern vehicles.

It’s only like .0007% of 2nd gen owners that have a problem.

There are people who buy a truck they like and quietly enjoy driving it.

There are other people who think their truck brand or model is their identity. They are not quiet

I figure they are keeping abreast of any feedback, positive or negative, as someday they MAY be in the market, and want to determine if they will be sticking with Tundra. IDK.

2nd gen'rs are still in the hater stage. Same thing happened with the Tacoma crowd when the 3rd and 4th generation came out, previous gen guys where a bunch of haters.

I'm looking forward to the day where we mature to the point where 1st gen guys are today. Those guys aren't worried about you, they're just here for a good time.

Take a look at my favorite thread of all time in the 1st gen forums: https://www.tundras.com/threads/jerking-when-towing.139666/

... well, maybe not "mature" so much. Devolve?
