    I grew up there (Imperial Beach) and still have a lot of family in the area. It's nice to visit...

    Been in AZ just over 20 years now and with 5 years until I "plan" to retire I'm looking at my options.

    I have an opportunity in South Carolina on the radar for 2025...

    Cortez Co area would be on the short list if my company had a presence there :thumbsup:

    Ha. Funny you mention Cortez - we like to vacation in the mountains NE of there… I hate going to that Walmart as I always get the feeling my truck is going to be broken into while I’m shopping. I shared these feelings with extended family on our last trip when they were talking about going to the fireworks show there on the Fourth and they essentially called me bougie and said it’s fine. They all went to Cortez - we went the other way to Rico. The show in Rico was awesome.

    The next morning, my brother-in-law strolls over to our cabin and says “you were right”. Apparently the fireworks show was halted early - police were on their way to the grocery store for an overdose call when they saw a minor firing a gun into the air right next to where they were launching the fireworks. Everything got shut down and turned into a crime scene.

    That said - we love the surrounding area.
