How many 3rd genners (& late 2nd genners) use the automatic high beam 'feature', cause i keep pennies & will use my lights.

With all the hilly backroads around here, I would be blinding everyone if I relied on Hal 2000 to take care of the high beams.

Respectfully, the 3rd gen trucks aren’t old enough to make a definitive statement on long-term dependability.

Yours has been good to you, sure, but for less than 2 years.

It actually tastes quite nice. I'd compare it to when you're young and don't have a developed pallet scotch tastes terrible compared to the sweet whiskeys you start with. Then you come around and start drinking scotch. It's also very opinionated. If you like your beer to taste like water instead of a nice hoppy refreshment that you can sip on then that's your style. Don't hate just because you don't like hops, and therefore it means it's a shit ass beer. Look at the volume of IPA's offered and sold. It's clearly a demand, just not in your opinion.

So no seat plastic cracking, no fuel line recall, no squeaky breaks wearing out fast, no alignment issue, no panel alignment issue, no wind noise. Wow you lucked out.

I don't have any of that except the fuel line recall, I don't really consider that a problem though. All 5 of my tundras have had several recalls

if its luck, then fine, Id rather be lucky that good any day, hopefully that holds for a few more hours as Im about to boost to the golf course and blow off work

Don't worry. Now that I've had the recall done, the headlights suck on mine too (high beams, anyway).

You have to passive aggressively respond to every post in defense. We've already identified the problem here.

I have LED DRLs and halogen low and high beams. I actually like halogens in the winter because they get warm enough to keep themselves clear when driving in a snow storm.

I don't expect that's a consideration for some of you guys, of course.

Theres alot of people that leave it. But if i cant see, you cant see. Sucks to have projectors. If they dont kill theirs, i wait to a count of 5 and dont kill mine. Was alot easier to kill mine before they started the slow transition lights.

my other bitch about 'tech' is the radar cruise. I used to be able to hit my blinker to wake up speed matchers, but left laners that speed match get to be my entertainment for 30mins. Usually only takes 1 race to the next truck, but some folks are so zoned out i can keep my little game going for a while. Easier in the rain cause i can keep tailgaters in a trucks spray. Everything is so comfortable now it takes some 'negotiating' to get folks into the buffeting.

Inclement weather & people with trailers get a free pass, but grandma & grandpa shouldnt be on the road at night if they cant be bothered to toggle a switch.

ya, we have stupid ass winter here too, I havent really had a ton of problems with LEDs, they still get warm with that much output as they have nowadays, but I know exactly what you are talking about.

The platinum level upgrade lights now are really really nice, damn near perfect beams and cut points, with a wide flat even spread, no dark spots really. pretty impressed, they should be for what they cost though, lol. gotta pay to play.

cant wait to move and not have shitty winters (on another note )

    I bet!

I forgot how much fun boost is, haven't driven one on a while. My dad a long time ago was pretty high up in toyota motor distributors and we had every Toyota you could think of and tons of them, he got a new one every 6 months at most.

the TT supra was just down right AWESOME to drive, we had several of those, Turbo MR2, Turbo all-track celicas, and so on, had a supercharged MR2 as well at one time.

supra was king though , we always had one in the summer, just a bad ass machine for the time.

also all the old kick ass land cruisers , the real ones, not the BS now

But this thread is already such a cluster we haven't been on topic for what? Like 9 pages now?

Can't disagree with your comment though. Ol' fashioned or IPA? I'll take both and finish with the cocktail. But rye or bourbon is the real question here.
