Why are people so lazy.

We are on a narrower 2 way street where people used to park the wrong way out of laziness, couldn't be bothered with a u turn. I admit I was an occasional offender when I had to put a car on the street. But these curbs are short strips between driveways that barely fit 2 cars so there was really little to no risk from popping out of your wrong direction spot. It's not like you were hidden by a long line of cars until you came out. People coming out of their driveway to turn left also had to cross 2 lanes so I don't see much difference.

Regardless the cops started ticketing so I do it right now. Just like if I forget to put a 13 dollar pass in the windshield I get a ticket for parking in front of my house.

 

Never mind.

 

Lots of awesome dialogue on this very important subject which dramatically affects all of our lives. I respectfully offer my opinion...

On a serious note, I get that a lot. I've often told people "If you think I sit around all day, come spend a day with me at work."

One guy actually took me up on it. At the end of the day he said "I'm sorry...you're right, you bust your @$$."

But there are indeed a ton of gov't workers (usually what I'd call 'straight civilian' jobs - e.g., not DoD-affiliated jobs) that sit on their butts and do very little.

 

I could respond with reasons, but it's too much energy to do so.

 

It's a master plot by the Canadians to make us dumb and lazy, to make the invasion easier.

 

That is good because I'm easily distracted by chocolate and they have lots of chocolate up there.

 

I thought he was talking about @Azblue and I heading up there to liberate Canada of their cooler temps, fancy candy bars, beer, and Pamela Anderson lookalikes. Leave it to those crafty Canuks to slip into America and flip the international boundary while we are up there.
