Crawled under the truck today to change out the front diff fluid.

And I was expecting to use my 24mm socket, when low and behold it's a 10mm allen??? Taking a look around under the truck and realise that nothing is the same when it comes to oil/trans/rear diff/front diff.

Oil its 14mm socket (standard on most cars)
Rear diff was a 24mm socket that required a 1/2 drive wrench
Front Diff is a 10mm allen
Transfer Case looked to be a 3/8 drive? (square)
Transmission was something else I can't remember.

My previous 2007 FJ SE was all 24mm except the trans which was 10mm.

    Anyways thought it was weird.

    FYI
Make sure to use the correct fluid for your T-case, Borg Warner case does not call for the same fluid and the front/rear diff. Straight 75w. Check into the other thread going on regarding this.

    Cheers
