    One of ours we were lucky he found us at a shelter.

    One was a Christmas puppy, always wanted a dog since I was little.

    And just recently we got found by a stray, took the time and tried to find his previous parents....well now we have 3 :)

    Were very lucky with our boys!

    We are definitely doing rescues in the future. Being that it was my 1st pup ever, I really wanted a Puggle.

    Then we decided he needed a friend. "Surprised" my wife on Saturday going to a shelter, low and behold - a Puggle....what are the odds?! So when up for adoption we were there Wednesday morning 1st thing.

    Well, the last little character...
    Driving home from work Friday early evening I see a pup on the side of the road. Chase him around and finally befriend him. Posted signs everywhere and online everywhere, nothing. Took him to the vet for a check up. We noticed scars on his belly, Vet mentioned that they looked typical to "fighting" dogs. Well long story short, he is a pug mix and looks darn identical to our other guys. Gets along well with our guys but is skidish with new people,very protective of us when we walk or new people walk into the house.

    Sometimes rescue dogs have emotional problems and can take a lot of work to help them recover.
    Katie flinched every time I raised my arm above my shoulder for years and had a problem with anyone wearing coveralls too.

    Meet Mr. Blaze - He is a Blue Lacy - which is the Texas State Dog. He co-exist with my two Labradors. He is fast a lighting and aggressively protective of his domain. His breed is part Coyote, Scent Hound and Greyhound. He weights in at 65 pounds of muscle and attitude.

    Thanks man, he was a 'gift' I didn't want at the time. Figured I had 2 dogs already. NOW - I wouldn't part with him for the world. Anywhere I go on the weekends he goes. We run 20 miles a week together and he loves riding in the Tundra. But his specialty is Hog Hunting - dang dog loves chasing (and catching) hogs...

    I'm pretty sure Katie is a coydog, not the looks, so much as behavior. She digs burrows; one went down about 30" then horizontal for about 6'. She has caught wild song birds out of the bushes while being walked on a 6' leash and she does that sideways shuffle trot that I've only seen coyotes do when unsettled but not sure why. Her social behavior with other dogs is off too, not an alpha but doesn't like being pushed. Once cornered she flies apart like a Mexican gangster with 2 switchblades and there's blood everywhere. 1 time with Bonnie it was even on the ceiling.

    Blue Lacy's come in 3 colors - Gray, Tan, and Tri-color. All hte Tri-colors I have seen are Katie's colors. Just saying....
