about a week and a half ago our oldest, Arie, broke one of her K9 teeth. The next day I found a lump in her cheek/jaw area. Had an appointment that day to get everything checked and they said they would have to probe/x-ray the tooth to see if it needed to be extracted and then they aspirated the lump. they said the cells weren't consistent with a fatty tumor and recommended it get it removed. So yesterday was her surgery, had the tooth extracted and lump removed. Surgery went well, no issues. Should get the results of the mass within a week, fingers crossed it's nothing major.
