We absolutely love the Oregon coast

 

Zach has been kinda down lately. I think he’s feeling a little jealous with the new pup around. Took a special trip with him to Petsmart. He sure is an easy dude to cheer up.

 

Someone is tuckered out from swimming all day

 

Unfortunately our 10mo lab puppy fractured the outer toe on her right back foot Friday night playing fetch, went to the emergency vet Saturday morning. Because of its location and small bone there isn’t anything they can do but just let it heal. She has a follow up this Friday with her normal vet. So far the swelling has gone down and she is moving around on 3 legs ok. The next several weeks are gonna be hard as she starts to feel better and wants to play. Hopefully this heals quick, the water is just starting to get into the mid 60’s and we were gonna take them on the boat and introduce her to swimming off the boat and using the ramp to get back up, hopefully we can still do that towards the end of summer.

 

Ouch! We need an Unlike button for stuff like this. I hope she heals quickly.

I bet, I'm a sucker for labs, especially yellow labs. 14 years is a good amount of time, but it's never enough

 

so sorry for you loss; 14 years is a hell of a run but never feels like enough.

Yeah...the Wife and I used to take care of the Boxer rescue dogs until a home was found for them.
Had to stop,We didnt want to give them up when a home was found for them.
Told the Wife when She retires were moving to the boonies and start a home for wayward Boxers.
I was Joking but She thought it was a Great Idea...
I've created a monster....should have never introduced Her to Boxers.

 

Of course a lot of it depends on how you raise them.
To many people buy Pit Bulls for their reputation as fighting Dogs.
You'd see these idiots walking their Pits with Huge chains and spiked collars at the park or beach.
As far as I'm concerned people like that shouldnt be allowed to own Dogs.
They're kinda like the idiots who carry huge pistols in open carry states thinking it makes them look cool.
