    Mine is always so excited to ride in the car (even when we go to the vet) there are puddles of drool on every flat plastic surface and the seats. I need to dry the plastics and clean the seats. Still worth it to have my buddy with me (and even with all this, he still makes less mess than my kids. :p )

    Meh...I gave up on keeping the hair cleaned up every trip

    I have a lab mix and a 90lb Dutch Shepherd...both shed about equally all year round...I throw a sheet over the back seat...that catches most but some always ends up in the carpet...I vacuum it all out about once a month

    Mine always ride with me. The hair ain't so bad, we keep their hair short. It's the nose prints on the glass that gets cleaned once we get home, on long trips sometimes it gets cleaned at gas stops.

    One of my dogs had another surgery today to remove a lipoma. Vet said he started bleeding immediately and spent 45 minutes to stop it. Scared me and I’m glad he didn’t die on the table. Big lump still there. Just going to let him heal up a bit and live out his life. He’ll be 10 this September. Tough dog!

    Same with the poodle. No shedding. It’s great. Harder part is keeping her on the seat cover when she’s wet and muddy from water retrieves. That’s why the new Tundra will be leather.

    One of these fine young men will be coming to my home 9/1, I am happily anticipating the lost sleep and puppy training. He will be named Doc in honor of my recently passed golden with the same moniker and will be dark red like just like he was, the breeder is Hunters Goldstrike here in Colorado. I see lots of days ahead chasing birds with this pup.

    Thank you, i really appreciate the kind words. I like to use the old expression that "the dog lived the life of riley", probably had it better than most humans! I'll tell you, the love that they give is unmatched. I'd like to think that her sister was waiting for her when she crossed over, I can picture the two of them laying next to each other w/there hind ends touching like the always did. I still cant bring myself to take her little bed out of the living room, but i know time heals all wounds.
