Good morning, Lucy. If Charles doesn't give you an extra ear scratch from me; poop in his shoe.

    Ok,

Who has "Travel tips" for distance with their pup.....

We are "Round Tripping New England from Florida" shortly and it will be an Adventure for our Pup..& us o_O

He travels well within the State , both in the Tundra and the Rav4 BUT this will be three long 8 hour days with over night stops at Pet Friendly

    layovers...

    The Rav4 will need refilling before we reach our destination each day BUT Con is thinking we "Make it Fun" and maybe stop at each state crossing;

for pix and to update "Someone's Instagram" page.....Yes , Riva has a #

Keep the leash handy, offer lots of water, and let the sniffer sniff a bunch without rushing. Best way to make dogs love trips is to let them enjoy the trip too!

Had a Ridgeback puppy once. I walked outside to talk to a neighbor and it broke through the window to be by my side...

Dam growth spurt has him all legs..:eek2:

We grabbed a DNA kit to double down on his breed; Shelter & Vet sticking by Chocolate Lab/ German Short Hair Pointer but they encourage true

    numbers o_O

He is great in both vehicles which is nice as we have a 3100 mile round trip just around the corner... We did a 5 hour round trip during the Holiday

without a hitch . Riva growing up 1.jpg

    He now has two....

Con bought the big one first and Riva' tossing that around the house was going to create an "oops"... That smaller size works inside perfectly and the

large one is outside use only...

He is smart as a whip and "loves work", rope toys and his chew toys make "teaching easy"....

We brought the "portable crate" with us over the holiday and family was amazed how easily he "owns it"... We gave him his Kong toy for lunch and

he just chilled in the crate... even with the granddaughter trying to unzip it to "play"...He wasn't phased by her

His growth spurt has me a little concerned about his max out weight BUT he's mine now..:p

His DNA will be to us hopefully within a week...and then we know what we really have... BUT dam don't he act like a pointer, our walking trail

has wabbits and he gets "Right into position" the minute he spots them, tail out straight and body ready , only thing missing is the paw lift

My two beautiful English Mastiffs will be having puppies in the next couple of months. I am in the southern Illinois area if there is anybody near that will be interested. $600 a pup.

Our old girl jumped out of the truck instead of waiting on the 4th, yelped a bit, but seemed fine… then she started lifting it all the time. Got her checked out yesterday and the vet thinks she is going to need knee surgery :(

Poor girl. Man I remember when my Jack-Rat terrier jumped out of my Tacoma at a red light on the highway to chase a squirrel. I was so worried she'd get hit by a car. But she was young so the impact didn't faze her

The way she was acting the next day, I thought she’d be ok. The vet tried to set the knee back it place but it wasn’t happening. We’re hoping that after the inflammation goes down we’ll get lucky and it’ll pop back…

My Benni lived to be 15 with congestive heart failure. So she should still have plenty more miles left in the tank at 10
