Who's got dogs? Post your pup!

Our neighbor has this cute bundle of fur that's in need of some exercise ~ his mom and dad are incapacitated so we volunteered to give "Big Poppy" some outdoor time.
She definitely knows where she wants us to go and knows which route to use !

This is Miss Pixie on Fat Tuesday. Her mom is a Rat Terrier, but we don't know what her dad was. Found them wandering the neighborhood when Pixie was a puppy. Found the Mom (Joleen) a forever home.



This is Forrest. He's a rescue from the shelter. He was hit by a car and broke one of his front legs and his back just before his hip. He had multiple surgeries and even some acupuncture (they told us) and was crippled when we took him in. Now he runs faster than the other dogs at the parks. We named him Forrest because he has magic legs.

 

Absolutely ! We had no other choice in the matter . . .

Well, we did cheat a little bit. Poppy bee-lined for home about half a block away so we picked her up and carried her around the corner and made her take the long way home !
She was missing her mom and dad.

 

After my Vizsla, Lucy died, I decided no more dogs for a while. Well, my wife and kids had other plans. We rescued this little clown. 9 weeks old. After having big dogs all my life I decided it was a good choice to go small. I’m allergic to dogs so shedding gets to me. They eat less, their poops are small and they don’t require a ton of exercise. She won’t hunt like my old girl but she’ll do fine on the boat.

 

That is one beautiful dog. Vizslas are excellent dogs.

Thanks, we tend to agree. the Vizsla is a very special breed that is too smart for their own good.

 

I just lost my Vizsla after 14 years. She was a loyal friend. The only reason I didn’t get another is they need ALOT of exercise. Not the walk around the block type either. You know that well I’m sure.
I just am not able to provide that right now.

 

i'm so sorry to hear about your loss. it's the worst to lose a friend. maybe you can get another V at some future point. they are very special, no doubt.

You wouldn’t believe it but he’s the boss. The GSD on the left is a lady and she thinks killer is her boyfriend… one morning we came down and she had both paws in his bed. He try’s to please her best he can…

 

HAPPY Birthday !!

 

This is my best bud Gunner. He's almost 8 but he's in stage 4 kidney failure. We're making every day awesome for him. He's been on more adventures with us than I can count and has been the best dog I could possibly hope for. Countless people over the years have threatened to dognap him because they love him. I'm going to miss him so much.

 

It's never easy to let them go, but I'm glad you're making everyday special.

He used to be 24#. He’s slimmed down. He’s unoriginally named “Tom.”
