Last dog, Bullet. He was bought for a young boy as a pup and allowed to roam free in his neighborhood. As he grew he became more rambunctious and wandered around town. One day he jumped up on a young girl affectionally but knocked her down in the process and his owners then chained him to a tree with only a junk car to crawl under for shelter. The boy also lost interest so he spent all day, every day, alone, chained up. He became despondent and stopped eating because he was so depressed. When I went to see him and started to love on him he ran and got a toy plastic dinosaur to "show me" and I cried like a baby. He just desperately wanted someone to interact with him. He's a great dog. Here he is trying to be sly about begging for some fried chicken. LOL!

Any recommendations for a toy (not bones like raw hides, hooves, etc) that is pretty much indestructible? While I’m very glad he isn’t chewing on household figures, he will and does destroy every toy of his. This includes Kong’s.
Looking for something to help ware him down when he’s in his hyper mode lol

I've texted my dad to get the brand name. He got a 4" round ball that's heavy duty. It's lasted a long time and he's got 2 heavy chewers. Hopefully he can remember the brand name. It's about the size of a softball. The dogs love it.

Edit: @T-Rex266 it is this one. Tough to throw over hand as it's heavy, but can get good tosses under handed as the weight keeps it moving. Super tough.

Black Kong for the heavy chewer. Last much longer than the red ones.

Best thing to do is stuff them with kibble, fruits, almond butter, carrots, cheese, green beans and freeze them. Make them work for that treat!

The only thing that our dog hasn't destroyed is the Kong bone, an orange ball (can't remember the name) and a Cabela's ground bouncing self healing target. Nylabone's or a generic are a good chew toy. She doesn't eat the plastic, so that's not an issue for us. We have also conceded in the fact that she is worth every penny, and a toy is meant to be used, and abused. $20 a month in toys is just an expense for a tired, happy dog. Also had good luck with prescribing to a Bully Box every once in a while. Hope my long winded response helps.

Plain barkbox toys are not durable though...my dutchie will pop the squeakers within 10 min and then shred the toy within a day or so

they do love the treats though...and they’re small so you don’t over treat them

My dog does this with his toys everytime I come back home from going somewhere, I call it his toy appreciation "hey dad! Look at what I have! Its the toy you got me!" Really glad you were able to save him and give him a good life!

Our 6-yr-old lab Sadie Sue Sunshine Superstar that my oldest daughter HAD to have but is somehow my wife’s dog now. She’s always had a mellow “old soul.” Only two things motivate her - food, and breaking up “fights” between my two older cats and the kitten.
    BC3373E9-1A4C-41F0-A399-5EB02BE379F0.jpg

And our 2-yr-old lab Ally Ann Absolute Awesomeness. She’s got more energy than Tigger in Whinnie the Pooh, and I’ve never had a dog so infatuated with fetching a ball. I use a Chuck-It to throw the ball 40 yards and she’ll beat the ball down there and catch it... and do that for 30-40 minutes without a break. When she’s not doing that or licking the floor, she’s often found chilling out with her buddy Jack Jack.
