They are a nice truck and when we have to consider Toyota is going the way of Ford with a sad twin turbo V6, the Ram becomes a much better option. I love my 550hp supercharged Tundra, but I wont buy another with a V6 in it. Ford has had nothing but trouble with the Eco Boost V6. They have a lot of towing issues. My friend is the general manager of a large dealer network that owns several Ford, GM, FCA, Toyota, Nissan dealers and he has a lot of Eco Boost headaches.

The issue I have is the price of the TRX. Its getting to the point of unaffordable. But I do like the truck a lot better than the Ford Raptor which my Tundra has no problem outrunning.

That TRX is a sweet Is one bad ass truck. Price is outrageous. But I guess there is people doing about the same amount in accessories when it comes down to adding everything on the Tundras. I cant wait to see one and hear one on the road.

We decided to order a couple of them. So, I guess we don't need our current cars. Anybody interested in a good deal on a Tundra and a Venza?

I predict the next Raptor will be a high output PowerBoost. While a supercharged V8 would be cool to see, but more people would buy a 25+ mpg Raptor.

I have a feeling that the Ford Raptor would do the Mustang 5.0 supercharger version.

they sell a lot more raptors than they do gt500s, maybe in a special edition but I don’t expect them to go back to a v8 in the “regular” raptor

the TRX sounds epic but for that money I’d rather have a 2500

Buy a Dodge? Are you high?

    :D

Down the street from me there's a red and brown Dodge Ram parked in the street. The red is paint, the brown is the body work rusted out. Bottom of the doors, the bed, even the tailgate, all rusted through.

Launch edition is $90k. The Tesla Cybertruck or Rivian R1T is a lot more interesting to me at that price. I'm sure it's fast as hell and a riot to hoon, but I'd rather have something reliable or rechargeable.

Sorry, don't have any extra bedrooms. How about I just add another TRX to my order for you? Might as well since I'm already getting a couple, what's one more?

I love that FCA is crazy enough to put a hellcat engine in a truck to send a shiver up Ford’s spine. I love that in the twilight era of V8’s and pickups RAM took Ford’s playbook, read it and then wiped their arse with it.

The TRX is an incredible achievement, RAM moved the game forward a lot and gave the people what they wanted...fun.

I would love a TRX, I’ll definitely rent one on Turo next year, all the fun none of the upkeep.

....."gave the people what they wanted"????

I know quite a few truck people and none of them would pay $90K+ for a pickup truck let alone one made by Fiat. Ha!

Truck prices are at all time crackhead highs.

90k for a half ton dodge is like fentanyl laced crack.

and no I wouldn’t fork over 90k for a Toyota or Lexus product either.

I agree truck prices are nucking futs right now, I doubt we’ll see used values like these ever again.
I’m tempted to sell the Tunny, lease a RC/DCLB for 2 years and sit on the cash until the 2022 is finally unleashed.
Btw here’s some prices from my local Stealership yesterday

Bought my Pro in February. Covid hit so haven't driven in much and it has a little over 3000 miles on it. For giggles, I looked up the value on KBB and trade-in at the dealership is pretty much what I paid for it. Maybe a $1000 more. Private Party was just over $60k. I know I'm stretching it a little, but this vehicle has actually gained value since I bought it. And that's exactly what I'm going to tell my family members who don't understand why I'd buy an "outdated, under powered" Toyota truck.
I may need to change my name to "Toyota Bandito." I'm a lifer.

The price of the trx is so insane, you’re gonna be afraid to scratch it. For way less money one could build a dedicated off-road truck and just tow it behind your old tundra

for that money you can SC, Level10 Trans and LT a Tundra while keeping it bulletproof (and much better looking too).
