I got mine December 2021, I’m at 13k, I had to replace the diff at 1k and had a handful of little fit and finishes issues that got resolved early. Besides that it’s been flawless. None of these weird computer issues you hear about.

What was the issue with your diff? Green was my first choice or as I call it BP green. The Midnight black with the blue flakes has grown on me.

15400 miles on my 2022 SR Crewmax. Bought in September 2022. Haven't had a chance to get into dealer yet (do my own oil changes, Amsoil Signature), but I have several issues that I need checked out before warranty is up.

    - Ticking noise when going over bumps coming from dash area..very annoying.
    - Window motor seems like it's going out, drivers side, it frequently stops/sounds weak. When the window is wet at all it sticks and makes a banging noise. One of these days it's going to come off it's track.
    - shuts off when put in park and immediately starts back up with a clunk noise, again, annoying. Only way to stop it is to turn off stop/start, then you have a warning light staring you in the face.
    - snow sticks to front radar ALL THE TIME. When this happens, can't see the info display, warning always up. Have to stop repeatedly to get snow off the radar, you shouldn't have to do this. Makes me concerned that this will be a huge issue in the future since I live in snowbelt and it snows 4-5 months of the year.
    - I STILL smell oil burning all the time, smell most when parked in my heated garage. I check oil a lot, doesn't burn a drop, so not sure why it's still smelling, usually only smell after I get home from a longer trip.
    - Turning radius is horrible.
    - Ride is very rough, my 2021 rode way better, seriously regretting getting rid of it.
    - wind noise - any cross-wind at all and it whistles like crazy, from front driver or passenger side.
    - some people have said trade in value...LOL, I don't know where you live, but the trade in value on these 2022's is way worse than the big 3 now. The advantage to buying a Toyota is now wiped with this new truck.
    - Since I have the SR, the seating position is such that you can't even see the fuel gauge or temp gauge. It's strange, it's like the instrument cluster was mounted super low in the factory. Anyone else notice this??
    - transmission clunks a lot when putting into Drive, it's just odd, my 2021 didn't do this.
    - windshield washers are terrible - the spray doesn't even get 1/2 way up the windshield
    - Apple CarPlay, I had issues with this, really bad a few months ago. Better now but still not good, laggy, slow, etc. I have to use wired or the performance is just horrible.

About the only positive is the torque - it does hold gear really well and just pulls and pulls. That's about the only positive thing to this truck that I can see so far. Otherwise, I couldn't be more disappointed and will be stuck with this because the resale is terrible now (dealer I bought it from offered me $10K less than I paid for it when I had 9K miles on it, and other offers from other dealers were similar, people know these are junk).

Oh my god! The clicking behind the dash! WTF is that?! I brought it in to my dealer and they say they can’t hear it. Only seems to click on a light rumble at low to moderate speeds for me! ARGH!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one!! Clicking would be the best way to describe it. I’ve noticed it on the interstate as well. Pretty consistent now. Mostly bumps. It’s the strangest click noise. Maybe it’s in the ceiling, I’m going to make them ride with me so they can hear it too! With radio off it’s super easy to hear.

So I did do that but the problem for me is that it almost sounds like the click of the turning signal so its easy to tune out. Spoke with the customer tech (because you never get to ride with the ones that are actually looking at it... but I digress) and showed him the video but he's a little hard of hearing so he smiles and nods when I ride along with him. When I look at the Toyota app where it records driving and trips, I see they take it out for 15 to 20 mile drives with all kinds of warnings for harsh turns, fast acceleration, and sudden braking (not how I drive it) but I know they're trying to see if they can hear it. It really is only at low to moderate speeds (which I told the customer tech) probably because there is too much road noise at highway speeds to drown it out...

I'm out of ideas. It is either in the dash right in front of me or in the headliner above. Almost sounds like something is swinging around and only hitting the frame from time to time with an uneven road.

Mine does the exact same thing. It’s in the dash or headliner. Like something is loose, but it’s a click, not a bang. Extremely annoying when you hear it. I will take it in when I have time to leave the vehicle for a few days, sure it’s something that could require a dash removal or something.

Send me a DM if they find something and I'll do the same if I figure it out (since it seems like so far we're the only ones) ha!

My click was the headliner contacting the windshield in passenger side. Worse when cold. Haven’t found a permanent fix, I doubt my dealer will do anything since it’s at 25k miles now. My temporary fix is some tissue my shoved in there and it’s stopped. Nice way to drive your $60k truck…

Maybe your click is in the same spot? Feel around!

Just went over 25k miles. Very happy with this truck. Few recall were done but other then that no real issues.
