I saw one of those diamondback covers on a Tacoma, looked real slick and rugged. Do you like yours?

Honestly once you get over the shock of the cost I love it. I wanted something waterproof and was looking at the trifold covers and the biggest drawback was the possibility of leakage. I got the pro for traveling and going on trips with the family so it was a no brainer for hauling our gear and luggage to keep it dry and secure. I also liked how you could mount crossbars to the top of it whereas I think retrax was the only other option available. Cost wise I found it was more than the retrax but it suits my needs more. I’ll have to drive it in the rain and test it out but so far I am super impressed! I would recommend it if you plan on keeping the truck for the long run! Solid investment literally haha

Very nice. Just ordered my Diamondback. Now I need to to find decent sliders/running boards.

I ended up just going with the factory predators, I was going to install them today but the diamondback was a little tougher than I thought.

Man, y’alls trucks look so much better without the running boards. Mine has the OEM ones but it makes it look like it sits low. The only reason I haven’t taken them off is because I have a collar lift coming and 35’s and my wife will complain once all that happens.

Congrats to both by the way! Enjoy!

Got that same B&W hitch. The best! I hate your dumb ugly truck though.

I feel your pain, that’s why mine are going on too! Haha I would have gotten amp power steps but after doing the diamondback I had to slow my roll a little bit

Idk why but for some reason I think the chrome and mustache look pretty good on a red truck. Congrats @DBWA

Sorry for the anachronicity, had to repost this since it had my license plate detail in the original.. Thanks @LukeS for the compliment! I don't mind the chrome with the supersonic red either.

When I was a junior in highschool I got a 2.75L 4cyl 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. It was a no frills standard cab with manual everything that got about 20mpg. I drove it 300,000 miles until I sold in 2019. I loved that truck but didn't want to drive it 2000+ miles for a big move to the PNW. I picked this Tundra up on Friday, and am pretty happy that I don't have to lean over to the other side of the truck to roll the window down or lock the door ;-) I'm just happy to be back in the Toyota family.

ah the good ole days when you could actually reach across the front seat to unlock and or roll up/down a passenger window.

I couldn’t take it anymore… I put the BAKTrak on this morning but after snapping pics I took the old-man steps off. It looks way better IMO. The OEM ones on a Pro make the 33’s look tiny and look like it sits even lower than it does.
Once my lift and tires are on I will put some single steps at each door for the vertically challenged wife and my still-growing kids.

I like the AMP powered rails, I almost put some on my Dually, but I cant justify that kind of money for something I don’t even want anyway on a Tundra. It would literally be for my wife and I would likely eventually tear them up off-road somewhere.

Nah you're not the only one. I have lots of friends who like to roll it factory. I just have small things I want to do. Not looking for a mod'd out monster truck. Got the windows tinted and it looks great.
