Thanks. Put 4k miles last week in my first long drive to; Page, Lake Powell, Glen Canyon, West Grand Canyon in Arizona; Grand Staircase and Zion in Utah, and in Vegas and back to Texas a week ago. I love the performance of the truck in the mountain and off road and its very comfortable. The Photo was taken at Forrest Gump Point in Monument Valley, Arizona.

20220623_101157.jpgGot the 35x12.5/20s installed. Waiting on the lift kit and wheel spacers to be installed. Tires fit snug on the stock suspension. No UCA rub and minimal rub on the inner lining at full lock.

Picking this gal up tomorrow from Toyota of Cedar Park, just north of Austin,TX. Then need to drive her back up to Dallas, any tips on how to handle that drive on interstate? Just try to take it easy?

    Congratulations!
According to the manual you should avoid driving at high speeds for long periods of time. Although it doesn't define what either of those two measurements are I'm assuming freeway driving. Nonetheless I would just vary my speeds every 20 or 30 and pull over every once in awhile when I drove mine home.

Thank you sir. I will definitely try to do that as well. Friday driving between Austin and Dallas will likely cause a lot of speed variance regardless haha

Apparently you aren’t supposed to come off hwy speeds and shut’r down immediately without a bit off turbo cooling time. Just a factor if whipping off the freeway for gas or whatever.

Only about a 200mile drive, so shouldn't have to gas it up, but will keep that in mind if I need a potty or coffee break...

I live right down the road from cedar park Toyota not a huge fan of their sales team….butttt they have a good service department! Make sure you go in there with the extended warranty price list so you don’t over pay!

I have only dealt with the dealer through the phone and it has been a good experience and rather transparent. I'm bringing my own financing, which we cleared the air on from the jump, and I am not planning on adding any warranties at the moment. But if you have the price list, I would like to take a look at it. Everything has gone so smoothly with this deal, but I still have anxiety that something is going to go wrong to derail it when I get down there. But I have found emailing owners of the dealerships gets resolutions rather quickly.

The break-in recommendations are on page 172 of the manual. Basically: first 200 miles “avoid sudden stops”; first 500 miles “do not tow a trailer”; first 1000 miles “do not drive at extremely high speeds, avoid sudden acceleration, do not drive continuously in low gears, and do not drive at constant speed for extended periods.” Bottom line, don’t slam, don’t tow, don’t hammer and don’t use cruise control. I violated at least one and maybe two of these before I got home and opened the manual. :) (And if yours is a hybrid good luck finding out how to jump start this thing. Haven’t needed to yet, but when I saw there’s no battery under the hood i figured I oughta find out just in case.)

Fuse box on the left side of the engine bay has a battery terminal for jumping, no idea where you ground it though

Got my Platinum 4x4 in about 2 weeks ago. It's been great so far! Added an aftermarket tonneau cover as well.

Yup, found it. And the recommended grounding point is really tough to get to, down between some hoses under the turbo cover. I’m going to find one that makes more sense.

Just trying to help the next customer. I just want my truck so damn bad. Let me know if you spot any grey hybrids on the lot. Apparently they don't like answering my calls.

Here it is with the Westcott Designs front kit only. Rears going on next week. Also, stock wheel bore size is 95 and not the 106 that people keep mentioning, if youre looking for wheel spacers...$300 mistake20220623_201414.jpg

Will do lol drive by there everyday on the way home. Crazy that one of the only hybrid they got in was bought by an employee that no one had a deposit on.

I agree, but with the red and black everywhere else you quickly don't even notice it. Curious what it would cost to have it swapped out.

Sick! But aren't you a little young to be driving that thing? Seriously though, my kids love the heated and cooled rear seats and the secret tailgate release button. Also their spotify playlists show up, the list goes on and on.
