looks like they lowered the stance on the new tundra compared to the chevy and ford. i imagine for wind resistance = slightly better mpg. that lower stance will prob help the wife remove snow compared to our 2018 tundra that sits a tad higher.

Great looking Truck! I agree with your 3 comments.
I can't figure out why all the SR5s have the color matched mustache except when you add certain off-road packages.

True haha. I have three kids and the youngest is in a car seat still. It was sad when my wife made the comment “wow it’s so much easier to get him in his seat”

He said that the Chevy was leveled, so that’s probably what you’re noticing.

Luckily the chrome will be easy and inexpensive to cover up. I have the leveling kit ordered which will help grownups get inside. The wheels and tires are hopefully sooner than later....

Covering the chrome with Paint, wrap, or plastic-dip?
I am supposed to pick up my SR5 tomorrow. No off-road package so will have the alloy silver wheels. Have appt for new wheels on Saturday. Have to look into leveling information. Coming from a Rubicon, I'm sure I'll have to raise it a bit.

I’m probably going to wrap it for a cleaner look.

From what I understand, the older generation leveling kit will work. Rough Country has a 22 specific kit but I’d rather spend $45 vs $160

Love what they’ve done with the New Gen and can’t wait to see the real life numbers on the Hybrid and I know I’m very severely biased here but to me that MGM 2.5 Gen Tundra on the right of the new ‘22 just looks better and it looks better in every way (and you don’t have to say it looks better in person than in pics and in different angles etc because to me it just looks better. Period - Sorry)

Your truck looks great! Any chance to get a pick of the tire/wheel combo on your truck? I've got the short box coming in Black and I'm really unsure how those wheels are going to look on it.

Can any of the new '22 Tundra owners answer for me if your new truck has a dead pedal (a place to rest your left foot)?
    Thank you!!

    Thanks,

These wheels are standard on the base SR5, other wheels are available with optional packages as far as I know. These aluminum wheels have been coated, here's a close-up.

I'll have a set of take-offs of these wheels after this weekend that I will post in the marketplace of the forum, if anyone is interested.

Great looking rig! Just wondering, does the portion of the headlight below light up at all or is it just cosmetic? I have been reading that only the Limited or higher trim levels have an LED "halo" of sorts. I am in Canada and would assume that maybe this portion is a daytime running light? If it lights up, can you post a photo of it on?

Any other comments would be appreciated!

Great looking truck! I saw some photos of your tonneau cover as I just ordered a Lunar Rock SR5 Crewmax from Zak at the Sherwood Toyota dealer and wanted to see how the tonneau folded up. Do you know if when it's folded right up against the cab of the truck, is there a way to lock it in place?

From my limited time I was hopeful the interior was better than I remember but I’m seeing more of the materials and quality ending up like this.

I will say it’s more on the real leather trims and not soft Tex. Those that have received how is the interior quality? I remember some cheap and flimsy parts but some of these seating areas are meh

I think for that trim it's a turn signal, no LED DRL? Not like the TRD PRO LED DRL at least

I looked at an SR5 TRD Sport. From what I could see, it's just a vertical rectangle that lights up orange. I wanted the white DRL but in Toyotas spec sheets, option on Limited and Standard on higher.

Well that's too bad, certainly seems like some of the "expect to see standard" options are on the higher trim levels, oh well. Thanks for the response all!

I’ll get you some pictures when the sun goes down some. I’m not sure to answer question. I haven’t really thought about the headlights other than how I love the actual LED headlights and how they’re adjustable from the cab

Did anyone pay a crazy mark up on their truck. Going to go see a Green Limited with the 6.5ft bed tomorrow, but they are asking for a 14,500 markup over MSRP which is 57,758. So in short a total of 73k for a 2022.
