My 1794 TRD has the TRD skid plate (front) shown as an additional option, I recall $350.

I can also say that the sticker on my 1794 TRD also says "...skid plates..." note the plural plates...but only the TRD front skid plate is present, which I paid extra for. Not sure where Toyota thinks those mysterious skid plates are located, but I sure don't see them. OK there is a steel plate below the long 32 gallon gas tank (I bet all the trucks have that) and one TINY plate below something near the trans...forgot what I determined it is but that plate is only 6x6 inches and pretty worthless.

My 2023 1794 hybrid TRD OR had just a tiny black plastic skid plate, I added the TRD skid plate after, and the TRD OR option deletes the air dam from the front.

I just got my Tundra and the dealer wanted 7.8%. I told him that rate is fine, I'm going to refinance through Chase next month at 6.4% anyway. He was pretty bright and knew the big money is on the financing and not the sale, so he pulled up my chase rate of to confirm I have 6.4%. He says; "I'll beat it at 6.3% if you buy one of these wheel packages for me."

    DONE!

On my Tacoma a different finance guy was just chasing his own numbers so he had no issues with me leaving and refinancing afterward. It looks like their finance metrics are chasing "how many people get into the financing" and not chasing "long-term usage of the program".

It's worth a shot to ask for the lower rate and if they can't make it, tell them you'll buy it at their rate and refinance immediately. Either they give it to you there or you get it on your own next month.

I bought this 2022 Limited recently. It's my first full size truck and I absolutely love it. I don't see any mods in the future because it was pretty expensive as it is and its almost summer here in Florida, which means "outdoor toy season"

One thing I love about Tundras coming from a Tacoma - is ALL Tundra's look awesome and have solid features. Cruising the taco forums was a constant kick in the gut of stuff I don't have and how much it's going to cost me to get there.

Looking through these, there's none of that feeling. All Tundras look and perform well out of the box :)

yeah whatever rate they give me, i will look for a better rate afterwards anyway. just less hassle all around for everyone during the initial buy.

unless they can get a better or equal rate.

usually the FI guys at this dealer i am at just ask i dont refi within the first 6 months so they dont get hassled by the bank if i do refi. they are just asking as a courtesy and not telling me i cant before the 6 months.

i dont see an issue since they did give me another stellar deal as always with almost 5k off msrp.

I looked underneath with a light, no air dam. Must be because of the TRD Off-road package.

Hey folks newb here looking at Tundras. First question how long are orders typically taking? Second, is there a master search for a specific color and model vs looking on all the nearby dealer websites? Looking for a black platinum 4x4.

Just go to Toyota's website and there's a link up top/right to "search inventory".
This basically does a search of the local stuff that may be available at local dealerships around you.
Select tundra etc and search away.

Dont be put off buying from a state or two away if the allocation and savings are there.

I must be an idiot. It’s only letting me search my local dealer for a certain model. What am I missing here?

Your better off searching cars.com or autotrader.com. Toyota wants you to work with your local dealer.

Cars.com and autotrader are owned by the same company and not all dealers advertise there. Try Cargurus and do a dealer search at https://www.toyota.com/dealers/

The dealer search lets you find all dealers in a given state and area and has web links for most. Caveat is that some dealers let stock linger on their site after sale, which is true for the listing sites as well. .

change the zip code on the website to an area outside your region, here are the regions and what states are in them. dont search with a state within your region, you will get the same results. if you are not in SET/GST region stay out of those states when looking in other regions. SET/GST have completely different rules thatn toyota usa regions.

New England Region-- Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island
Greater New York Region-- New York, New Jersey, Connecticut
Central Atlantic Region-- Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, W. Virginia, Delaware, District of Columbia

Ohio Valley Region-- Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee
Midwest Region-- Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota
Mountain Region-- Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming
Northern CA Region-- California north of the Los Angeles metro area
Southern CA Region-- Los Angeles metro area, and areas south

Not all dealers keep that inventory list up to date. Most I check here and round Montana have vehicles on there are are already sold and gone from the lot. I think they leave them there so they can get your contact info for the next round of allocations. Yes, sold and gone, I verified that with a couple slaesmen, that's why I ended up going out of state.

This is absolutely perfect stance/poke. I'm surprised its this much from a +1 offset.
Maybe because its a 9" wide wheel? Not sure. Looks amazing though.

Do that comparison in any color other than black and the Tundra looks ridiculous compared to the svelte non-'stace front of the Sequoia.

Not for me, I like the Tundra. It kind of reminds me of my 5th gen 4R. To each his own, right?

I could do without the brushed aluminum grille on mine, but I also don’t want to part ways with $800+ to get the body-colored pieces. Maybe I’ll try my luck at vinyl wrap when it gets warmer here.
