I have a leitner bed rack and haven’t noticed any widening or cracking Yet. But that being said I’m thinking about stiffener. I don’t think the total chaos would work with the leitner because it looks like they attach in the same area. I’m looking st the sdhq ones

But speaking of stiffeners has there been any conclusive evidence that they add additional stress and cause the bed to break at the frame attachment?

Yeah it seems like they run right up to each other.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
@sdhq_offroad sells some hidden bedside stiffeners that mount to the outside of the bed walls. It would definitely work with the coating.

Sounds like a better option, I am seriously considering a Decked storage system in the bed, inside stiffener may not work....hmmm

I read from the first post and, like a bad cliffhanger, I got to the very last one and could not find the answer to:

Q- Which stiffener would work with Leitner Bed Rack and Decked system?

Seems like the Decked would probably work with most options discussed but the Leitner seems to attach to the pillars where the stiffeeners get bolted to and interfere
