    There's some question about the contents and whether it should be used as an oil additive. It is, however, a good penetrating oil and has a long history in radio controlled aircraft and car engines as an after run oil to prevent corrosion.

    Many years ago I worked as an aircraft mechanic. I worked in mainly
    Radial engines. Most of the work was resurrection of parked and pickled
    obsolete Military warbirds. The owner used to get a gallon of Marvel Mystery
    Oil. He removed every spark plug and sprayed in the oil. Not a lot, maybe 3 pumps.

    when it got time to start the engine, the MMO really smoked. We never had a cylinder
    not come back to life after decades of sitting. Considering the length of inactivity,
    the pre oil really worked.
