how's the grip on the RB20s vs OEMs tubes?
I need full step for my older members of family with a moderate amount of grip for when it goes snowy here in the midwest.
Just don't want anything that gets slippery as snot when wet

I have the rb20 slims with the textured black not the bedliner coating and they’re pretty grippy . I imagine the bedliner to be way better .

Are the RB20 slims wide enough at the back door for a step? Or at least a step for kids?

I’m studying that as we speak . If you intentionally turn your foot sideways it enough but it feels like it sets your foot to hit the truck sometimes . My little girl has to step right .

I have my rb20 slims mounted backwards so the wider part is in the rear. It’s fine for kids. Hell the slimmer portion in the front is fine for my size 12 foot but I do have to step sideways… If you’re considering that, just get the regular Rb20s or even rb30s

I went with the D 6's. Pretty happy with the way they look. They are tucked in and have no under brackets sticking down. The wife likes them, soooooooooo. Do you have pics of these installed? I have a set coming today with the bedliner coating. I am tall enough that I probably wouldn't have got running boards but I have a dodgy left knee that probably will get replaced at some point so the step should make it easier during rehab.

I’m on my second set from Amazon . At the time I didn’t realize they are too short . I’ve seen another member on here and his are the correct length . For some reason Amazon does not give you the right ones . On both orders I had the correct part number that is bedliner coated . The order that showed up is the textured black and too short . I’ve attached a pic of correct length and mine

What do you mean, "hang down"? You mean they protrude below the running boards? Maybe the excess can be cut off?

Those look great to me. Thanks. As for "too short", shouldn't be the case. I got mine from Real Truck and they require that you enter your cab. And mine is a DC so I guess I get the shortest ones anyway. Hope they don't send the CM version by mistake which would be too long!

Edit: something odd about your pics, however. The driver's side RB is 2 holes wide (I assume slim model), whilst the passenger side is 3 holes wide, which seems like a regular RB20??

The brackets themself are lower than board not by much . Enough to Piss me off . If you cut or grind you’ll have support problems

Odd. Without seeing both of these in person I fail to understand why anything would be different other than losing an inch or so of platform width.

Upon further review... It looks like the slims are lowered a bit relative to the truck and they have a little lip. I will guess that these features are designed to keep you from hitting the truck with your feet on these narrower boards.

Are the Go Rhino D6 functionally any wider than the RB20 slims for actually getting your foot on?

I hope you can find the TRD ones. I have been searching for 2 months for the TRD steps for my Crewmax. I have made dozens of phone calls to dealers all over the US with no luck.

shot in the dark here but maybe someone else on the forum is close. There’s a guy selling a set of take off TRD running boards on FB marketplace in Bend Oregon asking $275 obo.

My running board install and pics will have to wait. The vendor messed up and sent me the RB 20 Slim set for a CrewMax when the order clearly stated Double Cab. Too cold to install for the next week or so anyway...
