I almost went with RC AL2s like @G_Samps cause of the look and fit but ended going with the N-Fab Epyx steps. Similar look, good reviews and on sale at the moment. Still haven't installed them but I'll post pics once I do.

I’ve been very happy with the N-Fab Epyx steps that I bought with a discount from @SantanaRealtruck.

Nice, can't wait to install mine. Do you still have good ground clearance with them?

I just measured them, the front is 7.75 inches off the ground and the back 8.5 inches. They definitely reduce the ground clearance. I’ve had them for a month and haven’t any problems. I don’t go off roading.

Completely off top topic and I’m sure you have said it before in another chat but what offset of wheels are those trd/ what size tire. Just looks perfect

What Ive gathered from reading all the posts is the GoRhino DSS Sliders arent enough room to use for a step?

I like the look of the DSS, and also the D6, but the D6 looks kinda wide. Might have to find a middle ground in the slim boards. Any other opinions/thoughts from those who have purchased one or the other is appreciated.

I have the D6s and they are not that wide. I think they fit nice and close to the truck but enough room for a step. I'll try and dig up some pictures o took of them with my foot and a tape measure on them but here's a side shot for now.

Maybe I missed this, sorry if I did, how far do the TRD OEM running board brackets hang down? I'm leaning towards getting those but if the brackets hang down then they are prone to getting hit and damaged.
The heart ache I have with several of the running boards out there is that they seem to have a slippery outer edge to them. Some are round tubes on the outside, some have a large 45 deg angle to them. Both seems to me a mis-placed foot would slide off, especially when getting out of truck. Any thoughts on this appreciated.

These running boards don't drop down much and as far being slippery they are not...they're as slip resistant as anything I have seen.

    Hope these help.

Good to know motojunkie. How far down do the brackets hang? A picture would be great if you've got the time :)

Got it, kinda slow here :)
Hum, seems that the brackets have the running board hanging down a bit. Is there by any chance the ability to move the bracket up a bit to bring the running board higher? Just asking :)

Do you have pictures of other angles? Mostly from a head on view of the truck to see how far they stick out from the cab and of one with your foot stepping on them.

I got the iboards as well, used them on my last ram and was very impressed, however was surprised the steps were not fully boxed and just bent AL, all the skirts are not boxed, the previous Iboard was a complete solid boxed Iboard

Took me 1hr to do the first side and 20 mins the 2nd, the shipment came in 2boxes and were packaged well

For the person asking about Gorhino D6 vs DSS.
I wanted something fairly stout but minimal, so just installed the DSS’s.
They are usable, but you have to place your foot, or actually less than half of your foot, very intentionally.
I will shim them out 3/4 of an inch and will be happy.
The step mounts it’s inside vertical face to the bracket, so no low hanging bracket The bottom of the step is a bit higher (maybe 1/4”) than the truck frame.
The two, including brackets weigh about 80-85 pounds. This is a CrewMax (long step) cab.

I bought the TRD Boards P/N: PT767-34220 for $1091.50 from San Francisco Toyota.
I also bought the bolts (16ea) P/N: 90119-A0582 but when I went to install the boards I found out the truck already has those bolts installed from factory, so I didn’t use the new bolts.
If I could have gotten the AMP boards as an option I would have done it, but I really like the TRD boards and not having to spend more than double for after market electric boards that require drilling, adding wiring, and stuff that won’t be covered by my 10 year, 125k warranty. The TRD boards work awesome and look great.
Con, I’m a total cheap ass and do regularly check the mileage on all my cars/trucks but one and the TRD boards knocked off approximately 1.5mpg. Pretty sure other add on boards do the same but that might not be the case.

Just installed Rhino RB20s....was hesitant at first on how they would look....the look is growing on me. They do work great for getting in and out of the truck!

I have a set of Oedro's and love them. Strong and sturdy with easy install. Holds my heavy butt. Also has the slider look very similar to the tygers. Similar price too.

These look like a great option to protect against songs and give "less athletic" passengers a sturdy wide step.

Any steps out there that have a kick out in the rear?

Noticed some of the go rhinos are flared out more in the front but not the back.
