    Wasn't in the military, huge amount of respeck on all your names that were. I work in emergency communications for police, fire and EMS services. Our comm. center covers over 30 different municipalities, and over 60 different agencies. It's not a glorious job by any means, and its not my career plan for the rest of my life, but it's not a bad job helping out the real heroes...

    20 years active duty in the greatest Navy in the world. Just retired in January of this year. I wouldn't trade that for anything. I spent a combined year in Bahrain and another year in Kuwait. 3 years in Italy and another six in Japan. All in all I loved my time in uniform the good and the bad.

    You do realize, with your back ground, you could make a ton of money up in AK North Slope and even down on Kenai Peninsula? I'm so close to going back up myself. Close enough to affect my sleep lately. Big decision. It's why I'm still awake and get up in 6 1/2 hrs.
