I was a passenger in one of these a few times when I lived in Miami back in the 80's, it was a beast but the interior was kind of sparse & unrefined.

One of my buddies had a red '71 (may still have it. Haven't seen him in 20 years). We spent several nights sitting on his garage floor, drinking beer, listening to Zeppelin, and polishing that stupid ZF trans with die grinders.

    Ahhhhh... To be young again!!

What’s sad, yet oddly awesome at the same time, is that half the people on the road today would not know how to drive that beast.

    Very true.

Too busy on their cell phones or waiting for self driving vehicles. The art/act/enjoyment of driving is lost on them.

The clicking sound of the gated shifter and the sound of that old school (by today’s standards) 6 carb v12 winding out...You either get it or you don’t.

Self drive is in Mercedes I’ll got back to screwdriver tuning the carburetor. This is when we had real steel compared to mostly plastic shit we drive now. In fact I’ll go the 1st T100 Tundra that lasted 400k miles while everything rusted out. Or the Tacoma which is the best retail value.
