Personally I've never noticed that the seats were canted inward, but I'd have to assume it's about ensuring room for the side airbags to deploy without hitting us in the back. I drive with my elbow on the center console half the time anyway, so I'm probably already leaning inward.

As for overall seat comfort, I'm nutted up against 70K miles on my '13 and I've always thought this fabric driver's seat was very comfortable. I can drive for hours on end without getting all stiff like I used to with my '11 Taco.

FYI different seat shape on 3rd gen. At least the bottom is. My neighbors sequoia is way more comfortable than my 17 tundra. Sequoia still used the 2nd gen seats.

I just made an appointment for next week. Having Katskins put in with front seat heaters and added padding and an electric lumbar for the passenger seat. total out the door $1395.00 installed. (leather $900, seat heaters $200, lumbar and padding $200, state sales tax $95)) The company doing it here in Charlotte, NC handles all of the installs for almost every dealer in the area. Just in time for the colder weather.

please ask them to document the foam addition. would be interested in the difference.

I suspect part of the discomfort with the leather is Toyota's is very thick and stiff/tight. not much give. might be that a stretchier leather would work better.

I have a 2017 SR5 CM and drove from FL to MD and back with my Fiancé. I was very comfortable the whole time and so was my Fiancé. I'm 5'11, 195lbs and she's 5'0, 115lbs soaking wet. The fabric on the other hand is a different story. It stains too easily even with just water droplets from the rain.

Just got it back last night. A couple of pics. I had the Katzkins added, heated seats and passenger lumbar. I chose to wait on the extra padding until the wife can try out the lumbar this weekend on a trip to Florida. a few wrinkles that will smooth out as the sun heats the interior up. Heated seats work fine, and the lumbar is very similar to the driver seat from the factory. I wish I could have added a power passenger seat.

Good thing about a uncomfortable passenger seat is that the Wifey doesn't want to ride around as much. They could put a cement block seat over there. Only way I will ride in the pass side is if they are bringing my corpse back to the house. NO One drives my truck. ( except the wife when she needs it :()

They are my seats as well, power drivers with the power button that makes a ball like hump for your lower back, what ever thats called, I'm only 5'10" and 196 but love the seats! As for ass pain, my wife says I don't have no ass so I'm bone on cushion with no probs!
