    Well...

The time has come. After 3 years of my truck on OEM pads and rotors, I am thinking, instead of the OEM set i'll beef it up.

It's looking like PowerStop drilled and slotted is my choice option as of right now.

What brakes are everyone running here?

Have OEM setup now but going powerstop drilled and slotted later this year with OEM pads.

Have you had any issues with warping? I've done them once with OEM rotors and they are kinda trash in my opinion.

I did the powerstop kit on my Tacoma and loved it. Curious about it with the extra weight on the Tundy.

Do you know if your backing plates have been updated to the 2012 and newer ones? The updated backing plates are supposed to dissipate heat a lot better. I did my 12' brakes at ~63k miles and could have went more.

I went with Centric drilled and slotted rotors and Centric pads. I did notice better braking in wet weather.

I have not... I know that is a possible cause. But if I can avoid spending the $140 and not tear into the hub and wheel bearings (just did wheel bearings a year ago) Id like to. I did pull off my rotors and check the leveling. They are warped to high hell. Pads are decent. But they aren't ceramic or anything so i'm hoping dissipation from rotors and the ceramic pads will do the trick. haha

Oh yeah. I had to get them worked a few months ago and now getting some pulsating and shaking when braking from highway speeds. They aren't warped but I'm getting tired of the shaking/pulsating. They're trash allright, the pads are great but rotors are crap.

Had to put new pads on and chose to just go OEM. Rotors are aftermarket but got the OEM ones turned for when needed.

The aftermarket rotors are smoother and thus the braking is not as good. Not really happy with them right now. Might switch back to the OEM ones or replace with the slotted drilled ones.
Cheap ones from advance auto. Not sure on brand.

Would you want in on a group buy?

I have the exact same thing going on... And there's a lot of it going on over in other forums. It drives me nuts on long trips. Over the weekend camping I cursed so much... Drove me nuts down the inclines or 1 lane roads!

I'm a little tapped on cash right now. I wasn't going to get some until later on closer to Xmas when I head on a trip back to Louisiana. Already bought a sway bar and about to pull the trigger on some UCA's. Since my rotors are okay, i figure I'll wait a few more months LOL

Depends. The pads are what grips the rotor and slows the vehicle down. If the rotors get warped or rusted it can cause brakes to shake hard on stop or break pads to wear unevenly or faster.
