Where y’all storing your ratchet straps??

Same here! Fits my straps and bungies, plus they stack so easily!

How did you install these? My package just came, hardware is there, no instructions at all. Do you need to drill the bed with a provided template like the aftermarket solutions? I am on the phone with the dealership that sold it to me to see if I can get some instructions..

 

I keep a lot of cool stuff which could be useful for you as well and reduce the noise:

1) Ratchet Straps
2) Bungie Cords
3) A folded full size tarp (in case I need to cover something in the bed)
4) A folded full size blanket (in case I need to pad something in the bed or backseat)
5) A folded beach towel (in case I'm filthy/wet and don't want to mess up my seat)
5) A "general bag" with paper towel, clorox wipes, butt wipes, bug spray, and sun screen

I was surprised how often this stuff was used and pat myself on the back each time

 

Watch this video twice and have at it. Easier than it might seem. You can probably download and print the template if they left it out.

 

I've seen plenty of these, but I bought the OEM Toyota ones... I am not sure if the template would match.

In my Tundra DC I kept them under the back seat. Now that I have a Tacoma I keep them in the bed cubbies. I also have Builtright molle pouches that I keep under the front seats for extra ratchet straps.

I know I responded about 10 postings ago, but since then I traded that truck for a Hybrid and no more under-seat storage. Since I was at Cabela's recently, pickup a Plano trunk there and works for what I need.

Do you have it secured in the bed?

 

on the 2018 plat no under seat storage, so we put them in the back seat pocket of the driver. on the 2023 i put some old towels we use to dry the dogs feet from the backyard after rain to line the bottom of the storage area so things dont clank.

 

I do, using ratchet straps over the top and across the back.

 

I assume these won't work with the bed extender too?

 

I do not have a 23, but in my 17 I used two L brackets attached to front deck rail system bolts and ran a board across the bulkhead with a rubber gasket to ask as a lip.

 

I have one of those with a tire iron, breaker bar w/ appropriate socket, random blocks of 2x4, IKEA bag and so on….
