I would keep in mind though, the clips will not allow the material to be too thick. The notch that snaps in is not far down the post. If you maybe hammer a grommet etc., might make it work.

Keep in mind I thought this out first. I'm quite good at this sort of thing. Check out my build thread for latest install info. The anti static rubber bench matting that I used is not only nearly indestructible but the same thickness as the OEM aprons. Came out better than new.

There are generic after market clips many hardware and auto parts stores sell that work as good or better for le$$ and you can get longer ones if using thicker material.
If I were replacing them, i’d Consider making the rear one longer and go to behind the mud flap and add a couple more clips. That gap behind the tire would let a lot of debris through.

Yep, they're crazy from Toyota. If you do search for them, there are aftermarket alternatives that are cheaper/better than the OEM stuff.

picked up one of theirs to replace one that tore out in the wyoming winds over christmas. haven't gotten it in, but so far i'm impressed. matches cut of the oem, much thicker and, not only do they include clips, but they put more than you need in case you break any in the future

i can send you my old torn one. i've only got the one steer axle rearward right hand flap, but it's yours if you want.

i got my customlinerz one installed and am very pleased with fit and function. pricey, but better than oem
