47 miles of Idaho backcountry roads, lots of nasty rugs and downed trees to crawl over with the truck and camper, but got to one of our fav spots- just me and my 2.5 year old while mom and our 3 week old baby were at home. Amazing thing about this spot is it’s so well maintained, but the only east access point if private and that’s how the feds get in to maintain it. Had the place to ourselves

Thanks Popa Dave. I’ll be sure to get some moar pics. The last one was supposed to be a pano, but for whatever reason the quality came out subpar. You can see some of the landscape with the mountains and dried up river bed. Filled with snakes, mountain lions and Aoudads.

A few of the muddy roads I have been down. The bad part about it is that the front bumper is trying to fall apart. It is made for city life the same as all the other brands (ford,Chevy,Dodge) they need to make something that is not plastic.

I led a group over the Magruder Corridor, Idaho. 100 miles following the old Native American route from Idaho over the SawTooth mountains to Darby Montana. Ended at the Dutton Ranch, didn’t go to the train station, haha

    Fun drive

Not exactly off roading, more drove on dirt. I went to Dry Falls WA where a 3.5 miles wide waterfall was created during the end of the ice age by catastrophic glacial floods when Lake Missoula burst its ice dam. It would be equivalent to Lake Eerie and Ontario immediately emptying out at the same time.

    Hells Canyon Idaho!

From Joseph OR it’s about 3 hours to Dug Bar along the snake. Not very hard off roading but a lot of fun leading 10 rigs down 3500’ of elevation change

Hardly off-roading, but the new 1794 did get off the road for the first time. Great photos in this thread and thanks for sharing.

Picked this up to pull the boat, comfort and because I think they look cool. My buddies have been encouraging some off road exploring. I'm getting interested. Shot out to Borrego to look at wild flowers and sample a little of Slot Canyon trail. Rain started dumping just after we got back on the pavement.
I don't need another expensive hobby.

I don’t have many of my new truck, have lots from when I had my various Tacomas. Just a few picture from work through last winter.

Funny, when I was out west I used to bitch about BLM rangers. Now being in VA, BLM rangers were not so bad. They actually let people use public lands. Out east, there’s tons of open space but it’s Forestry land. It’s public, but you can only walk through it. Very different policies towards public lands.

I’m on the east coast of Canada and all public (Crown) land is free for people to use. There are different levels/types of protected lands that are non motorized though. All roads around here are because of forestry, which I work in so not so bad.

Stanislaus NF and first outing w/ 37s. The bigger tires definitely made a difference in comfort offroad but I rubbed a few times in the front on full lock.

I had go look and see if puddle of oil underneath the engine in garage. Everything good. But did use 4 wheel drive on pavement. Its a no no with todays trucks. I recall days of solid front axles. Didn't matter.

It's a dispersed location off Hwy 108. Was Cherry Lake dispersed or campsite?

We usually go to the dispersed camp sites south of the lake right by the river. Not sure about the official Cherry Lake Campgrounds.

I’ve been to Cherry Lake and there are trails around you can disperse camp at. I drove through the camp ground but I try not to ever stay at campgrounds. Hwy 108 is a fun area
