As we all know many debates on this, fact vs opinion & opinion vs fact based. Sometimes it's easier to remain quiet, do your own thing, read and learn where you can.

No, it is recommended to replace oil in diffs and TC if you tow or haul often. TC is recommended if you drive on dirt or dusty roads. I think most people who use their trucks for anything more than commuting fit the ”special operating conditions” maintenance recommendations from Toyota.

Oh come on… so because I don’t drive on dirt roads everyday I am not a true truck owner? I am just trying to provide personal knowledge gained from the line of work I am in. That is how forums are suppose to work, or so I thought?

Those are your words. You won’t find them anywhere in my post. I’m just clearing up what the manual says about maintenance.

It’s all good, just trying to provide some input to the conversation.

Opinions & facts. Both are welcomed in a forum setting. Simple equation of input vs output. The owner's TLC of vehicle will make or break it's life and length of repairs with the TLC given.

For me, I want this truck to last a long time until I can give it to my son, he's 1, and I know it'll be waiting for him, God willing.

Magnet and crush washers? I think you’re in the wrong thread.

What’s sealant is everyone using on the plugs?

    Too many, but not enough....
T case is npt thread so you don't really need sealant but little bit of teflon won't cause an issue.

I didn’t use sealant, but the light torque spec did scare me a little. Still, no leaks!

Was at O’Reilly’s this AM and saw these. Went ahead and purchased them for my next transfer case service.

Please confirm this is what my 2019 Tundra 4x4 calls for?

Don’t believe that’s the spec. That bottle even says 70W/75W for manual transmissions and transaxles.

haha. Truth, the Toyota oil is wildly overpriced. The oem stuff is $99 at every local dealer.

Appreciate you confirming, will go ahead and replace this tonight.
