This does NOT include the power bed step. However, I believe the PBS is controlled from the same ECU. I just installed the manual step, may have to investigate for the powered one.

Rockgate, those look like powersteps in your pictures. Are they not?

They are. Guy above was asking if it was the powered bed step.

Ah, thanks. And where did you order those from? Plug directly into your existing harness? Thanks.

    Just something to think about.
I love my Amp steps on my 2014 DC, but I certainly have a lot more parking lot door dents since removing the tube steps.
And I try to park away from anyone in a parking lot.

Another thing, I only bought them for my 5" 100# wife to get in and out of the truck.
I never step on them to get in, I step over them..

    EDIT: 5' wife..:eek2:

    Good luck to y'all..

Have you already wired them up? That auto step controller looks like it should plug into something already existing??? I hope.

I just got the parts yesterday afternoon. Of course everything plugs up. I think it "exists" only on the Platinum. Maybe 1794, not sure if the steps are an available option.

I agree. Their MSRP is $400 more than the AMP steps. Being that this is the first we are seeing of this product, there is no telling how good they are. Not saying that AMP is great, have seen them with issues, but for the most part they are good. Also saw these on a Facebook post https://www.ebay.com/itm/234727365163?fits=Year:2022|Model:Tundra|Make:Toyota

Sweet! Ordered. Will update once installed. 25% off deal was too good to pass up. ~$1500 out the door. I'm too impatient to wait for AMP.
PROMO CODE for 25% off is: IMIN25
Not sure if it's a person specific code, but worth a shot.

Rockgate, Can you put out the list of parts for the power step or is it a kit? I would like to get your POC from Modern and order the power step.

The harness would be nice. That way I could duplicate it. If you remove the steps, can you chase the harness a little and tell me if it's a separate harness or if it's intertwined with the rest of the harnesses. Maybe see if there's a tag with a part number on it. I can get all the plug ends. I've got to locate pins for everything.

Read earlier in the thread, I already did. It was whoever is in charge of online sales. Eddie. Just google one part number and scroll. There may be a dealer that is less. I just paid what their site said, no buddy deals or anything. 1st time I ever heard of them. I ordered the man. bed step from them too.

I would love to help but I can not separate them. Whoever is going to buy needs all the parts. I can take pics of everything that I remove and send it to you if you want. There is a chance that, what I remove is not complete for a new installation as well. I will start removing tomorrow and will update on my findings.

Where did you find a plug and pigtail wires that work with OEMon/auto/off switch? I bought the switch having trouble finding plug.

Is there a specific way to remove these without triggering a code ? I removed the plug under so I can start dismantling the steps and it shows malfunction and that I should look into owner manual.
I will try turning them off from the switch then disconnect the plug

If you look up the wiring schematics, you can find like a 10 digit number. Put that in Google and it'll show where it's available. Have you bought all the parts and are installing? Ii don't have the plugs or pins yet.

Not yet. Im working on figuring out the pins on the oem switch that I bought. If I can locate the plug I plan to wire to AMP steps or order oem parts list mentioned earlier in this thread. I think a power supply and a relay for each side connected to door switch circuit will be all that is needed to get them to open when door opens. May need a third relay for manual open mode.

Amp steps from previous gen will not work. I have some and was gonna try and make them work. But Toyota has the rocker panel so far past where steps mount, it interferes with them. You also might want to check if the amps have overload limiters in the motors or not. I'm thinking not. If that's the case, you need something to shut them off at the end of travel. Here's a wiring diagram.
