What was the reason? Any noticeable difference in the cv axles?

I had a few reasons for wanting to go back to stock. I only have a 2.5" leveling kit so it seems it really wasn't needed, and seeing some videos and discussion worried that maybe it could be causing an issue.

I also have been annoyed with removing and installing the skid plate with the kit and having to use spacers for the back bolts. Also my back skid plate bolts have a different sized head from my stocks, so everytime i change the oil i have to use 2 sockets to remove skidplate. And even though it was only 1" spacer, I prefer to have the stock clearance for the TC vs the drop. I have been chasing down some noises from the front end which lead me to wanting to eliminate anything with the drop as a cause

I removed mine off my new to me 21’. Found that the previous owner wedged a plastic bag in between the spacer and the frame in what I assume was an attempt to make the spacer “taller.” Also wrapped them in electrical tape for unknown reasons. I couldn’t believe it.

This really makes me want to go check my new to me '21! That's one that makes you question how some people get driver's licenses!

    Too many, but not enough....
I bet they did that before they sold it so it would look stock and not catch anyones attention as mods typically reduce a cars value to most people.

That’s not something I’d considered. You’re probably right

I’m chiming in since I’ve had 6112s at 1.9” for 2 years and am about to go to 2.5” with a shim for 3” and I’ve wasting my brain cells searching the internet for Cv angle trash. FYI These angles are my current setup with 1.9” front lift.

Looks to me like the bolt is not tightened down to the nut on the back side of the crossmember

I watched the video and read this thread, and am thinking about removing my Coachbuilder diff drop kit. I have TRD Pro Fox shocks with the .5” CB spacer for a total of 3” lift in the front. Since CB doesn’t sell the diff drop kit with his TRD Pro lift kit, in my opinion that supports what people are saying in this thread, that the diff drop kit is not necessary.

So, I can’t find the original hardware. I know the part numbers are 90178-A0047 for the flange nuts and 90105-A0188 for the bolts. The bottom washer was reused on the CB diff drop kit, so I have that. My question is since the top nut has a flange, is there a top washer?

Thanks in advance for any help. This might also help others who are considering removing diff drop kits and going back to stock.

Is a diff drop needed if I’m going from stock limited black shocks to the trd pro fox shocks?
